2nd sweep :-(

Pretty much no change from 1st one really.

Cervix is still posterior and really long.
1 - 2 cms dilated but she'd expect that as it's my 2nd baby. SHe could get a finger in and sweep around but couldn't stretch it
Bristol score of 3, which os not good

Have a hospital appointment next Wednesday for monitoring and a scan and to discuss induction.
Because I won't have the appointment until Wed it 'might' give me 2 more days on my homebirth deadline, but probably not. MW's going to give me a bell and let me know.

So - not great news really. Had a pig out on chocolate to make me feel better. Bit depressed really, bit teary but need to pick myself up.

DH is cooking me tea (it's ready ) so going to eat that then come back on OC (if it'll work LOL!) and chill out on my ball.

Anyway - sorry it's a bit of a self indulgent crappy post - will be back after my hopefully scrummy tea feeling better - I promise

Am back - still a bit pissed off, but I guess it's just the thought of having an induction after planning a nice relaxing home birth that is frustrating me.
I have at least a week before being induced so I avoid that. A hospital birth isn't the end of the world and doesn't worry me - it's the induction that does - a far cry from my chilled out candle lit (or more likely TV lit ) home birth.

Have had a word with Green Bean though and we have decided I am going into labour tonight - even if it is just very early labour I don't care - so I won't need to be induced

Had a littke bit of blood in my pants after sweep and just been to the loo and - well the only way I can describe it is bloody snot (sorry!! ) has just come out.
Obviously nothing special or exciting as I've had a sweep but that it could mean things are at least moving in the right direction.

Goodness I'm impatient

It would be a shame if you couldn't get your home birth when it's something you really want
