Can my midwife write me a gaviscon prescription?? or do i have to see a doctor for this? I just figured im buying it at the moment and drinking it by the bucket load, may as well get it for free :D so if anyone knows whether she can prescribe it, i will ask her! i hate my midwife so wont ask uneccessary questions, hopefully one of you will be able to help :D

thanks in advance! x

she can prescribe it or, if you sign up to the minor ailments scheme in the likes of Boots, Lloyds, Asda pharmacy, then you do not have to pay for indigestion relief. I signed up last week really good. if my son has a minor complaint they can give him what he needs, and since i am pregnant, i qualify too.

they shouold routinely ask you if you are signed up but if they do not, then ask to register :)

ooo i've never heard of that minior ailments thing before!! my mw used to have to get the doc to fill in the form, but it was ok to pick up same day! i think you can just ring the surgery too!
