My Lo has had some changes at home. Me and his Dad went our separate ways 3 months ago. All amicable stable, set routine of visiting and overnights agreed. Big boy bed transition about 2 months ago all a success after 3 nights cracked it.

However the last few weeks he has woken about 3 times a night n doing it all alone is just exhausting. He has always slept very well so it's a big shock. I work full time as well. Have a supportive family etc so they could have him so I can sleep but it won't solve the problem.

The only thing I can think is that when he stays at his Dad's he's in his Dad's room (he moved home) so when he wakes at his he is comforted that he's not alone. With me in his own room he doesn't have that. There's no option he has his own room at his dad's so there's no solution to that.

Anyone have this ?? I can't do the controlled crying thing he just makes himself sick from crying and emotionally I just can't let him do it.

Any help would be great. Thanks x

My LO had a spell of about a week where she was waking and saying mummy's bed. She actually got a couple of teeth around the same time and I put it down to that. Lucie is the same and will be sick if left to cry so I do usually bring her in with us if she wakes like that. I still put her in her own bed every night and she never asks to come in unless is upset. She sleeps at my parents one night a week in bed with my mum as they have a high divan with a wooden floor and mum is petrified she climbs out and I know they snuggle together lol. So it maybe just a phase or nightmares or something but it prob happened to me about 5/6 times x
