Well K had his first night in his own room, I was so sad, felt like crying all night, he's always by my side! Well he slept no better and was still in with me at 4am so I'm obviously not disturbing him at night, he just don't sleep! Maybe it will take a few nights but I can't be doing with walking back and forward all night!

aww i hope it gets better for you hun, maybe he will self settle once hes used to it if your not there to wake the min he grizzles tho im sure you have left him to grizzle alone before lol

Gutting! I was hoping it would solve all your problems and give us something to try!

Was the first night though so maybe i was being a bit too optimistic! He doesn't even cry half the time just lays chatting to himself which eventually turns into a moan and then a cry when he gets bored in the dark, he can't get himself back to sleep without me feeding him.

Normally takes about 4 days for them to get used to it sarah.

Good luck for next few days
xxxxxxxx

Your nursery looks amazing btw :) Good luck with K in his own room, give it time i'm sure he will get used to it :) xx

Thanks pringle, maybe its too loud lol!

Hope you see a better night tonight x

Hi Sarah! Sorry K not letting u have more sleep! Did I c u say u have the no cry sleep solutions book? Been reading it a fair bit and she has some good advice on weaning off bf or bottles to get LO to sleep! Hope things improve for u soon and u get some more rest xx

Yeah I read it, think the weaning off to sleep is a slow process! I can remove him a bit quicker now most of the time though!

Yeh, sadly I think, as good as her suggestions r they do all take time! Still, in some ways I think I will miss the night feeds when I/ they stop! I am v lucky that Ethan is only doing twice a night atm. When it was 4 times I really struggled! Think u r a real trooper xx

Well I didn't think my nights could get much worse but they are a whole world worse when you have to walk across the house every hour and instead of just having a cot next to your bed. Not sure I can keep this up for long, I feel terrible after only 2 nights. It's made OH realise how much I'm up as he did some of the to and froing and obviously being a man couldn't handle it and is blaming his waking on being hungry so he's decided we're not to do BLW anymore as "he's not getting enough" and he will be feeding him from puree today. Somehow I thing Kynon will have other ideas. I'm really peed off and angry tbh as we had this when I began bf with pressure to switch to formula for more sleep, why don't men just get it that food doesn't equal more sleep. I just ignored him, he can try his puree idea and will just be proved wrong! He's away next week again anyway so at least he will get some sleep and I'll just do things my way again!

Oh Sarah! I'm sorry he's being like that. I don't understand why he thinks purees will make anything better. Has he read the BLW book? Can you get a nap while he's home just to boost you through? I think I saw someone said it can take 4 days for them to settle?

Men! Grrr! They don't it do they?! Hope u manage to get him to see sense! X

Hows things now Sarah?

Even if you did go down the puree route theres no reason you couldn't go back to BLW at some point. I totally missed out the puree stage with Kayden, I went straight to a wee bit chunky, for example when i'm giving him banana I mash it with a fork and leave it a little bit chunky. I asked the doctor when I was at another appointment if that was ok & he said yes. I'd always wondered if BLW was easier when they get older!?

On another note, hows Kynon in his own room now, is he still up as much??

xxxxxxxx
