hi everyone!
hope this piccy works as I've had my 20 week scan today.
Had to wait for over an hour as they were running behind but thankfully once we got seen it was amazing! The sonographer was absolutely fantastic and was really patient and explained everything - nothing was too much for her. We found out we were having a boy too!!!!!!
Have been very worried of recent as I have felt no movement or anything, but we saw a strong heartbeat and she went through every feature from his head to his button nose to his toes.
Saying that he wouldn't keep still so have now got a very sore tummy as she had to keep pressing to try and get her checks and measurements done. I've got to go back for another scan in 3 weeks to get clearer images of the heart chambers as the way he kept moving she couldn't get precise clear images and she said it would be better to be safe than sorry.
One reason she said I might not have felt any movements is that I've got something (can't remember the exact terminology) like a double placenta (?) - it's on the front wall and at the back. Again it's nothing to worry about, will just dampen any initial early feeling from baby as it's so padded and also when I actually give birth they need to make sure both pieces have come out!
Anyway thanks for listening ladies, am finally glad to have seen my little chap xxx
