Hi all,

I hope 2013 has been kind to you but 2014 will be your year and ours. This is my first time posting in this section of the forum but it's time to bite the bullet and admit we're having trouble. We've even trying just over 15 months with no success, I was on cerazette for just over 4years and came off last Oct 2nd with no luck as yet.

Any tips?

Have you seen your doctor? They will be able to help you and give you a plan of action. Sounds like we have been trying for a similar length of time. Hopefully 2014 will be all our years.

Hi, I was on cerazette the for 4 years too and wish I'd never taken them.. Whether they were masking my problem or causing it I'll prob never know. Have your periods gone back to normal since stopping it? Ask your doctor for hormone tests as they can tell so much from just taking bloods. Yes let's all keep fingers crossed that 2014 is our year xx

I've had the day 21 done and they advised that I had results 'concurrent with ovulation'. Although my day 21 is actually day 19 as I ovulate on day 12 (today). However, I found that out in July/Aug and still nothing (. It's just so disappointing each month because I track my temps so I almost dread taking them day 14/15 of my cycle as that's when they head downward.

Trying to stay positive girls but it's hard work! Are you taking any vitamins etc? X

Hey, I'd get your day2-4 bloods done too for completeness and then ask to sent for more exploratory tests. All my blood/hormones tests are fine and I conceived my daughter second month trying so it's come as a big shock to us that we now have a sperm problem and a blocked tube and are facing IVF. That's obviously a bad luck case and chances are your just taking longer to fall but in the meantime some more tests might help things along xx

Hiya,

I think you should push for some more tests, the doctor should have sent your OH for Sperm analysis and made a referral to the fertility clinic and they would do further tests for you. It doesn't automatically mean there is anything to worry about though, it can sometimes take longer for some people but I think its always best to know either way.
In regards to vits, my OH had low motility on his first SA. I got him wellman conception vits, second SA borderline motility, continued to take the vits, 3rd SA...everything above the average reference range so I think they helped loads. I take the womens version of the vits too xx

Thanks Dee, I'll make a point of calling the docs on Monday. I've been thinking of going back but don't want them to turn me away coz it's not been long enough you know?

Thank lisey, I actually ordered wellman and pregnacare and am waiting on those both coming through at the mo alongside conceive plus? I thought we could give it all a try as nothing could harm the chances I hope. Also OH smokes so I'm praying that it hasn't impacted his sperm count too much!!

How long have you all been trying x

We're onto 16 months now so not horrendous compared to some but having found out what our issues are we are facing IVF really, getting on a bit too so we need to face up to it sooner than later! Xx

We have been trying around 2 and a half years now. We have had 3 miscarriages in that time. Its been a rough journey so far x

Oh girls I'm sorry to hear that. It's awful when you know you would be fantastic and could offer stability for us to struggle. My H2B on Xmas morn said 'let's try our best to make this the last Xmas morning without a baby in the house' and I nearly fell over. I just wish it would be a little easier is all x

I was at the docs today and was told my day 21 result was 43.2 so consistent with of? I'm not really sure what it all means, I just have my fingers crossed tight for 2014! X

TBH I dont really know numbers from bloody work as every time I have had mine done they dont tell me.. just that it is normal lol

Thanks lisey, I thought it was a bit low but I guess I'm worrying. Wonder what's causing the hold up then? I've to go back end of jan for more blood work - the process just seems to take forever!! X
