I feel that with all the sad stories you read not only on this website but also hear from outside as well about early misscariages it may help for people who ahve had a healthy successful 1st pregnancy to post.

Hi hon x my 1st pregnancy was successful and my DD is now 6 (going on 16!) x I had no symptoms at all and didn't show until quite late on in the pregnancy x

What a great idea to hear positive stories x

That is brillient news! I am trying to convince myself that I AM going to have this baby!

my first pregnacy was a sucess but like u i spent the first few weeks convinced something would go wrong x

I'm very blessed and have never experienced the tragic loss of a miscarriage and this is my 4th baby xx

Sitting here with the result of my first pregnancy :) Had 2 early bleeds at 5 weeks and 8 weeks but have a healthy strong boy and really enjoyed being pregnant (once I was over the inital worry stage that most of us go through). Stay positive :)

This is my first, and I was (probably still!) convinced its going too smoothly, and something will go wrong.
All you do is hear about the horror stories, and the bad things that happen, and you foget about the massive majority of pregnancies that end up with an amzing result.
All I did was worry untill my first scan, and even now, I dont 'feel' pregnant, and I can get away with not looking pregnant. Still dont want to buy anything coz im too scared, but getting to the halfway point, where im going to have to!
Once your first scan is out the way, you will be so happy, and the first 12 weeks will go a lot quicker than you think it will!
x

all mine have been fine and resulted in a healthy baby :)
i was only 17 when i was pregnant with my 1st child i didnt worry too much(think this was because of my age) even though i had no pregnancy symptoms but everything went perfect she was born 6 days overdue at 7lb 10oz only problems ive had was on my 4th and i had 3 big bleeds on him but everything was fine and it didnt effect my ds at all :)

This is a great idea.

I have a perfectly normal verrrrry chatty 4 year old from my first pregnancy. That pregnancy had not one complication and even the labour was pretty much a breeze. Hope I'm that lucky this time round!

My auntie however bleed for the entire 9 months and I don't mean spotting, I mean full on bleeding and her son is 5 now and gorgeous! Xxx

Focusing on the positives is a really good thing Rachel - well done you! Both my sisters had healthy and happy first pregnancies :-) xx

I think this a lovely idea for a thread :) I have been very lucky to have two easy pregnancies and labours :) I am now on my third and hope everything goes just as well

Good thread!! This is my first pregnancy and all is going brilliantly so far, it wasn't planne but I found out that I was pregnant when I was about 4 weeks gone. No bleeding, no cramping, just a hell of a lot of morning sickness! I told myself no matter how horrible it was, it was a good sign of a healthy pregnancy. All my complaints that I have made (there have been hundreds lol) have all been as a result of pregnancy, and if I didn't get them it couldn't meant an unhealthy pregnancy. My midwife calls me "boring" but it's a good thing because I have a textbook pregnancy so far! Let's just hope labour is the same.
I must admit I was never too worried that anything could go wrong, and once out of tri 1 I felt a relief that nothing had gone wrong, but it's just started to bother me because of certain things the have happened to others that it can go wrong this late on, which really does concern me. But I'm sure everything will be fine.
I think my body is starting to practice labour because I get period pains every now and then, and I get this really odd feeling my waters are going to break! Again, annoying, but all good signs. X

this is my second pregnancy!!

i have a happy healthy little boy age 2, sat here coloring as i type haha

im my first pregnancy i had NOTHING, no sickness not tired nothing, just a positive test,

i spotted very light for the first 4 months just when i wiped and they said it was just every thing stretching, but as i said ive got a healthy lil boy, x x

<< as you can see in my avvy, love him to bits

Great Thread!! :)

Well with my first pregancy i was 18 and didnt really have any worries either, think its being young you dont really think about things going wrong untill i had bleeding from weeks 13 - 15, i was petrified had a scan and everything was fine (moving around everwhere, weird as i couldnt feel it), and most of my family members said they had bleeding too so put my mind at rest.. everything went fine untill i was 33weeks and 4 days, and i went into labour!!!! scary or what!! but even though she was nearly 7 weeks early, she did not have one single problem, she could breathe on her own, and she was good at sucking so she didnt have problems with feeding! she was only 4lb 10oz.. and she is now a healthy 3 year old... i feel soo lucky to have had a prem baby with no problems.. soo even though you do get little suprises when you least expect them, its not all bad news!! :) xx

My 1st resulted in Lacey!! My next pregnancy wasn't then I went onto have charley :)

First pregnancy here, Been a bit tedious with various aches and pains, but no bleeds or serious issues, and as far as we know baby is healthy n happy in there!

this is my first pregnancy and I have had no issues really, I didnt get any symptoms at all until about 7/8weeks and even then I only ever felt a bit sick was never actually sick the only real thing I had was extreme tiredness and feeling crappy but I put that down to a stressful job on top of my happy little surprise :-) Im 30weeks now and I LOVE being pregnant!

if you want to put your mind at rest have an early scan at 7/8weeks :-)
