So it started 2 days ago when I started spotting, mostly just blood stained mucus and only when I wiped nothing major but having had a previous miscarriage I went to emerg anyways. Luckily it was my family doctor working that night so he knew my story and did a bedside ultrasound. Baby’s heart was beating and it was moving around looking on track! But that didn’t explain the bleeding so he suggested it was maybe a subchorionic bleed and that the emergcy room’s ultrasound machine isn’t advanced and it was hard to say for sure. My cervix was closed and he looked with a scope and said there was barely any blood inside he could see. The spotting stopped completely that night and I haven’t had any since.
Yesterday I had a formal ultrasound at the clinic to see if his theory of the subchorionic bleed was correct. I got a better view of the baby and the tech showed me all it’s little parts and showed how it was moving around, I never asked for the heart rate which I regret but I saw the heart beating. I’m not sure if it was slow but the baby was moving. She printed me pictures.

Fast forward to today my my doctors office called saying they got the report from the ultrasound and there isn’t the bleed as he suspected but I had to come back Friday to discuss further . I’m a complete mess. They said to continue resting. So I don’t know what is wrong...

anyone have any ideas? Reassuring thoughts ? The baby was moving ? Maybe the heart rate was slow? I’m hoping if it’s an impending miscarriage he’d tell me instead of make me wait. I’m so worried.

I had a bleed at around 7 weeks; baby was fine when they did the ultrasound and my cervix was also closed. They never got to the bottom of why I bled, but it happened twice within a couple of days.

I think they're probably just giving you more appointments to reassure you considering your past miscarriage but actually I can see how it's having the opposite effect.

Just relax and try as much as possible to not worry about it. I know not worrying is easier said than done; but try your best. Xx

I don’t have any experience with this but didn’t want to read and run. I imagine if they saw anything worrying at your last scan they would have said. Keeping everything crossed for you. Xx
