I think they used to play together but my older sister was very bossy. I've never been very close to my little brother, I think the age gap was too big and we were always at totally different stages and had nothing in common...except playing computer games
I remember when my mum bought him home from hospital being very disappointed cos I hadn't realised he would just sleep all day! I did help my mum change his nappies and stuff though.
I'd been nagging my mum for a brother or sister for ages, and he was born on my 4th birthday! My mum swears she didn't plan it but it is a huge coincidence!
As we got older I used to get blamed for everything he did and I hated sharing a birthday party with him. I hardly know him now, he's a drug addict so we've got even less in common
I do love him though!
When we have number 2 I'm not expecting them to play with James, I'm sure James will be too busy playing football with his own mates from school.
I wish I'd had one soon after james really but finances wouldn't allow it.
ETA: My nieces are 15 months apart in age, they're now 16 and 18 (the 18 year old is pg, I'm to be a great aunty at 26!
)
They played together all the time as children, now fight like cat and dog and steal each others clothes and make up
