would you buy a 2nd hand car seat?

i want an Renault Isofix Duo car seat for Louie & from Renault (so its speciffically fits in my Renault car) they are £170
have found one on Ebay thats hardly been used & is a fraction of this price,
would you girls consider buying 2nd hand or always go for new?

Same here. It's recommended that you don't just IN CASE they've been in an accident. Not worth the risk.

Id never buy a second hand car seat, its just not something worth taking a risk on.
I dont think people should even be allowed to sell them. There should be somewhere they can be sent and recyled.

Why are you getting a Renault one... why not get a maxi cosy or something that is cheaper but still Isofix?

I am going to buy a second hand one- but it is from a good friend and I know for a fact that she has never had any accidents etc.

i would only buy a second hand one if i knew the person selling very well.

yeh thats what i thought, just the cheap price was swaying me a bit

i am (or was) getting the Renault Isofix as it fits properly into my Renault Scenic, but now have been having 2nd thoughts about even getting a new Renault car seat as i'm not sure if i may swap the car soon
