WORRIED i took folic acid too late

i think im 5 weeks pregnant but only started folic acid 2 days ago....im so worried that i took it too late is it too late?

I started taking mine at 7 weeks and my boy is growing fine hun, so I really wouldn't worry, alot of people dont find out they are pregnant untill later than 5 weeks!

That's true ippa, some people don't know they're pregnant till really late on and they have healthy babies. I wouldn't worry about it.

I wouldn't worry about it,I didn't find out I was pg wiv my 1st til I was 13 weeks gone and he's now a healthy 11 year old xx

Then got told no point in taking it after 12 weeks so after my scan I kinda gave up and forgot to take them x so far so good my little boy is healthy and kicking me daily now x

Ideally you'd be taking it 3 months before starting to TTC but I doubt very many people (other than geeks like me) actually do that! So long as you've started now, then that's great! Oh and congrats!

I've never heard that before. Were you told this by your midwife?

I was told this too as this is whwn spine is pretty much fully developed also says in my medical records the hosp provided.

The doctor at the hospital told me as well as the midwife there :S said theres little or no benefits of taking it any later as baby is pretty much developed at that stage x

Hey, my answer is pretty similar to some of the others but thought id add that i didnt find out until i was 5 weeks pregnant and started taking it after i saw the midwife at 5+6. She told me not to worry and also to stop when im 12 weeks too xxx

dnt worrie hun least ur taking it now, my friend didnt find out she was having a baby till she was 5 months gone and her babys growing okay

I'm 5 weeks two hun dont worry I didint find out until I was eight weeks on my last . and Mervs mum is so right , I freaked myself out badly this morning with google , evil !
