Worried - any advice?

I had a scan two weeks ago and was told I was 10 weeks pregnant even though I thought I was 11+5. When I had the scan the baby was very quiet but it didn't concern me. I just read a thread on a different forum which said that a woman had a scan at twelve weeks and baby had been very quiet. It later transired that the baby had very serious spina bifida but it hadn't shown up at an earlier blood test.

Has anybody elses baby been very quiet at the 12 week scan? I have read everyone's threads saying the baby was moving about everywhere. Probably nothing to worry about but it has set alarm bells ringing.

I have read alot of posts about 12 week scans and how the baby was jumping about all over the place but Ive also read that babies can also be curled up fast asleep all snuggled up. I think people tend to emphasise more if their baby is doing sommersaults as it is amazing, but Id be just as chuffed if my babs was fast asleep not doing much as long as his/her heart was beating Id be a happy mummy. My SIL just had her 20week scan and her little girl wouldnt budge for 15mins. It took alot of poking in her tummy for the bab to move so they could tell what sex she was and after alot of prods, coughs and jiggles she finally turned over for a milisecond Try not to worry hun

At my 10 week scan the baby was head down and hardly moved. It moved it's fists once! The doctor didn't seem bothered though.

I know when I had my 11 week scan with James he was bouncing all over the place like a spaceman!

I I think babys have periods of the day when they sleep, and periods when they bounce around. It's just a case of what period you catch them in. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about

Thanks gals - you know me, if I can worry about I will and if I can't think of anything to worry about I'll make something up!! I am going to have such a laid back baby at this rate!!

aww hun the baby will be fine
at first mine was curled up so tightly in a ball they couldnt even messure her then she started jumping about after a few mins
some people have more placid babys just think you will be the one getting the good nights kip when the babys are here

Mine didn't move at all at the 12 week scan so don't worry at all!
