Is anybody else working until there due date?

I don't really have a choice but to work until my due date, just wondering if anybody has done this and how they found it?

xxx

I am! I'm 31+1 and still feel good, if a little tired! No idea how i will feel in 7/8weeks!! X

I will be working until 38+4, dreading how I'll be feeling by then tbh!! But I think I'd end up bored finishing any earlier, and would love to see my class to the end of the year. I'll see how things go anyway! x

My mat leave started today at 36 weeks and wish I'd done another week as I feel ok!!

Could you use any annual leave? When I was full time and pregnant with my first I often took Wednesdays off so I only worked 2 days at a time.

I finished work last Friday, when I was 38+1. Wish I stayed longer as I feel fine. Now bored at home.

I worked until 39 weeks first time and I was absolutely fine. However, this time round with another little one, full time job, school run etc...I'm finishing up at 37 weeks and cannot wait x

I'm taking a weeks holiday at 37 weeks and then starting mat leave at 38 weeks. To be honest this is only because I've got a longish journey to get to and from work - if I lived closer id probably work longer xx

I finished at 37 weeks first time and 34 weeks second time and I'm glad I finished when I did both times cos I was physically knackered!

I also had my baby at 38 weeks this time so there was no chance I was working until then!!

I'm a student nurse and I'm on FINAL placement which is literally taking me up to 4 days b4 my dday!! I'm already quite tired but my job is physically demanding, on feet all day wirh lots of manual handling but will be worth it :) thanks for your replies xxx

I planned to finish at 36 weeks this time and ended up off sick from 35 weeks as my body had had enough. After a five hour standing shift the ligaments in the sole of my foot ballooned, putting me in the walk in centre. I know I couldn't have managed any longer, but I have to stand for my whole shift- it's not a desk job.

With my first I worked up to 38 weeks, my second was 37 weeks and I plan to work to 37 weeks this time around.

Honestly this pregnancy has been the hardest physically and I am knackered now and would love to finish earlier. I'm counting the days until I finish. Working full time with two others at home is hard work xx

I will be working until 39 weeks, but I work from home so not a big deal. Depends what your job is I suppose. It can be boring at being at home waiting for baby to arrive if you don't already have children.

Last time I worked on the Sunday, started Mat leave on the Monday, and gave birth early hours of Friday morning.

This time I'd hoped to do the same, but I ended up getting signed off at something like 25w. Xx

I'm working until 36+4 but using leave until DD. I'd prob finished sooner but I have a 40 minute commute each way and start fairly early in the morning, feeling it now but 5 more shifts.
