I am starting to think about work and going back etc - i will be going back the last week in July for 3 days a week, and was just wondering to those of you who went back to work is it as hard as i feel it might be? How did you adjust. LO will be in nursery 3 days a week too which i think will be good for her but it will still be sad :(

i dreaded going back for ages but now i really enjoy the time for myself and i find that me and luke have more quality time and i appreciate him more. he goes to a childminder since he was from 7 months old and he tends to be a bit more socialable and not so clingy as his little friends that don't go. i think it does them good. it takes a while to get in a routine but when you do its fab.

i only do 2 days/nights a week and i feel part time is just nice as you get the best of both worlds. good luck x

i hated the idea and and cried about it for ages leading up to it got my self so worked up and cried the first couple of days
then i realised it wasnt as bad as first thought Bray loved Nursery and i lovedd adult tlk for 3 days then the 4 other days we spent quality time together which was more special :D

i was DREADING it lol, but its not as bad as i'd thought it would be. in fact, its like a bit of a break! :shhh:

i do just 3 days a week which is about right, any more would be too much for sure. good luck!

I went back when Ryan was about 9 months, I do 30 hours a week but that's split between days, evenings and weekends. Ryan goes to nursery 3 days a week and to his Grandmas for the other 2.

I wasn't really looking forward to going back but once I did I really enjoyed it. It gives me time away from the kids to just be me again and I'm not stuck at home all day.

I felt so guilty about leaving Ryan, I think I posted about it on here, but luckily he settled in at nursery from the very first day. It gives him a chance to mix with other kids too :)

I went back to work full time when Jake turned 6 months, had no other choice moneywise. He goes to nursery 5 days a week. I felt really guilty about leaving him there at first but soon it became obvious it was doing him the world of good, more than I could do for him stuck at home all day every e sees children slightly older than him doing things and starts doing them himself.

As for me, Im so glad to be back at work. I can be me again... and mummy brain lifted after a few days lol
