I am going back a little earlier than I thought I would. I have shortened my hours, but will still be working every day. I will be at work 9.15 till 3.45, mon-fri. Alex will be in a nursery which isnt going to cost as much as we thought as my OH works shifts and can have alex half of the day every other week. Its still going to cost £380 a month. Tax credits give us some, but have told me once alex is one we will only get £10 a week from them, even if I am back at work and paying for childcare!
We are going to give me working a go and see how it works out, if its too stressfull for us both then we will have a rethink, and it might be that I have to get a part time job somewhere else just 2-3 days a week (which wasnt possible in my current job).
I am more worried about how my OH will cope with Alex than anything else. Although he is good with him hes never really had to have him for more than a few hours. Hes not very organised either and I think that when hes working 2-10 shift trying to get alex fed and dressed before he goes to nursery at 1pm, and trying to get himself ready is going to be very hard for him, but if he wants this to work for us both then hes just going to have to do it!
I am going to miss alex so much! Hes trying so hard to crawl and I am hoping he does it before I go back, It breaks my heart thinking about how much I will miss out on!
