Hiya, i have a slight issue,
I am currently on a 6 month probation at work, and by the time this is over, on 21st Oct, i shall be almost 21w, im not to sure what the laws are about this, as obviously i shall be showing quite alot by then.
Would they be in their rights to let me go after the 6 months if i tell them i am pregnant?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

you have to have worked for the company for at least 26 weeks and before your 15th week of pregnancy. so you may get mat leave if not you get maternity allowance from govt, you tell your cmpany and its to their discression they keep you on or not. courtesy of the direct.gov website x

Yeah not too sure i dont think they can 'get rid' of you because you are pregnant as i think this would be discrimination but they would need to justify if they did i hope you get the answers you need. citizens advice may also be able to advise you xx

Hi they def can't get rid of you bcuse yr pregnant it would be discrimination acas are really good for advice u need to ensure you make a good job of everything so they have no excuse to get rid of you xx
