Hi 2nd tri-ers
I'm a couple of days late coming in, but been feeling a bit
recently so have waited till today.
Now that it's all official and that I'm definitely pregnant I thought I'd let you know my story - if you can be bothered to read all my waffle! I won't blame you if you can't...
Saw GP in Jan cos I was having really painful periods - almost being sick/passing out with the pain - plus they were quite irregular. Also told GP we were thinking of ttc in the next year or so (I'm 31), but that I didn't want to go back on the pill, but he was worried I might have something up with my bits that would make it difficult to conceive. So he arranged for me to have bloods, scans, see consultant and I even had an operation to check for endometriosis, which thankfully all came back clear. Before getting the all clear I was regularly being told that there was a chance my fertility could be affected, though there was no hard evidence at the time, just a possibility. Well, all this got me and OH thinking and it made us realise how gutted we would be if we couldn't have children and we questioned what we were actually waiting for and whether now is as good a time as any to start trying...
So after getting the all clear from the laparoscopy we decided to go for it. Had no luck first cycle, but we weren't taking it that seriously, so on my 2nd cycle we bought some ovulation kits and bingo, it worked!!!
So while it was planned we were quite surprised that it all happened so quickly! Am now v pleased and feel so lucky that I got my BFP so soon, especially as so many couples try and try and try...
Anyway thanks for reading, and it's good to see a few familiar ex-first tri-er faces in here
I'm hoping that hopping over here means that I will soon bloom and feel less rubbish...
