My sister (Jadensmummy) is taking her son to have an operation tomorrow :( He was born with hypospadia (his pee hole is in the wrong place and his testicles are half way up his willy shaft). He has an operation tomorrow to correct it. If all goes well it will look no different to a normal willy, if not he will need a further op just to make it look right.

Im gonna buy him a lovely get well toy for my special nephew

Hopefully everything will go well and he will recover quickly  he is only 18 months old :( (but better to have it young I suppose)

bless he little heart.............

all fingers and toes will be crossed for him...

im really bricking it tomorrow :( its gonna be a really long and horrible day for jaden. im worrying loads as well, i know its a routine operation but am still worried... i know i wont sleep tonight. jadens on starving instructions too and he didnt eat any of his tea and he didnt eat much in the day, so he will be really hungry tomorrow, poor baby.

aww i hope it went well- i know its horrible- hayden had his op at 11 months..i was terrified but he was great and was a big brave boy!!
his little manhood is normal looking now- just circumcised- it looks a but scary after with the mahoosive bandage but it heals real quick!!

Thanks for your replies. The op went well and he doesnt need a second op as they were able to do it all today. He coped so well after the op he was able to go home this evening :cheer:

hi, we are back at home after a very harrowing day! jaden was fine when we got there but as time went by he got more and more narky, not understanding why he wasnt having his breakfast or a drink, he screamed so much that it reduced me to tears i was a right blubbering wreck(hormones?). jaden needed his mum and i needed mine lol. at 11.20 he was put under aneastetic(spelt wrong i know... ) and that was it for two hours, i went down to get him and he was there looking very sorry for himself.. my poor baby. but he seemed much happier after he was given a drink and he soon returned to his usual lovely self :D he has to have a stent in til next weds., poor little mite has already had a pull and i never heard a squeal like it :( i hope that has taught him not to pull it again. but im so glad it went well and jaden squealed with delight when we got in our front door so i know he is happy to be home too  he is now in dream land  ! thanks everyone for your support!!

... im too tired to be a good speller today lol. :|

hey glad it all went well- i remember watching Hayden go under i was in floods of tears and then the waiting..more tears and then when he came round..yep more tears!!

anyway i replied to give you a little tip- you know the way they have the bandage and you have to cut a hole in the nappy and put another nappy on...?? well i found it so much easier and less pressure on the bandage to wrap a fresh piece of cotton wool round the catheter each time and udt put one nappy on- he seemed more comfy with that!
