I'm seeing my midwife later, going to get my MATB1 form. I'm due on 22nd March and as you probably know, statutory maternity leave is being increased on 1st April from 6 months to 9 months.

I'm going to try to convince my midwife to put my due date as 1st April so I get my extra 3 months paid leave! It's only 8 days and it's only on this one form so I think she may go for it... I ran the idea by her when I first found out about the increase and she seemed like she'd be okay.

Wish me luck! I might get an extra 3 months as a full-time mum!

Aw, no. She said she'd have done it for 2 or 3 days but she'd get in loads of trouble if they found out and it's a bit too risky. So not a great visit in all (see my other post)

On my MATB1 certificate it says she's due 1st of April - hope to god that allows me to have 3 more months!!!
