Why does your tummy go hard ?

In my scan photo you can see what ill describe as a hill of white.
I pointed at it and asked sonographer and she said its what makes my tummy go hard sometimes.

This left me none the wiser can anyone tell me why it happens sometimes?

I'm not too sure but maybe she means it's the muscles that cause braxton hicks??!?! They make your belly go hard?!?!?

I'm not sure either. I also noticed my belly goes hard even without braxton hicks and thought it was because I was so constipated!!!
