Hi all, hope everyone's ok!

Just a quick question, I had the whooping cough vaccine on Wednesday afternoon and ever since my arm has been so painful. It was really hot to touch on Wednesday night/Thursday morning but since last night I've also had pain in my shoulder blade of that arm!

Last pregnancy I remember my arm being painful but not the hotness to touch or pain in my shoulder! Is this quite common does anyone know or is it worth a mention to the midwife when I see her on Monday?

Any help would be appreciated! X

Before I got my vaccine I did a bit of reading and what you are describing seems to be common symptoms. I was lucky and felt no pain at all. But if you are worried it won't hurt to call your midwife x

when I had mine it started to ached the next day, and 2 days after it bruised slightly where I was jabbed and continued to ache for a few days.

Yeah mine hurt like a mother at first. Wore off after a day or two though. X

Yeah same here, achey arm for a couple of days. If it's still sore on Monday, mention it to the mw x

Mine hurt that night and was bruised feeling for a few days (no bruise to see externally though)

So long as no dizziness or fever or rash i think x

When do you have the whooping cough vaccine done? and is it done by midwife? x

Between 28-32 weeks and was done by the practice nurse at my gp!

Thanks ladies, pains eased off and doesn't feel hot anymore!! So should be back to normal tomorrow x
