place to buy a double bed and good mattress? prob sounds like a silly question but i wanna invest in a double bed and mattress but the mattress has to be a good one as i suffer with back problems

We got a gorgeous one from Benson Beds. Tried no end of mattresses out as I'd originally wanted a wooden frame base but nothing appealed.

Then we tried out *the* bed and mattress and fell in love with it. King size base, leather, curved headboard to lean back into with a Relyon mattress, which are highly rated. Wonderful

All in all it was a £1300 package and we got it for just under £800 as it was the last one in stock and they reduced it down more for us from the already reduced showroom price.

The problem we had with the mattresses was most of them were too soft. We wanted something firmer but it seems they are leaning toward softer mattresses again so finding this Relyon one was great. It has a slight raise in the middle so OH and I don't roll into each other and its the best nights sleep I've had since I don't know when.

We tried out some mattresses that cost over £1000 and they didn't come close to the one we ended up with

O I must add I'd never go back to a double again. King size all the way now.

I know not everyone has the room for a king size bed, but if you can then try them out. The extra space is sooooo good

It depends how much you're looking to spend. Then silent night mattresses have a great recommendation esp for people with back problems but they can be quite expensive

get a memory foam matress, there soooo nice when u suffer with back problems
