Where in London and how quickly can you get a private scan?

Hey guys, sorry to burden again.... I am still freaking out that I have virutally no symptoms yet. Am thinking I might go for a private scan. Do you need a referral? How quickly can one get one done in London?

I have my scan in 2 weeks but everyday i am more and more worried that I have no symptoms, I keep dreaming that the bean is not developing and nothing is there, despite about 12 BFPs.

Any thoughts?

just give your gp a ring and they will be able to tell you where to go and i think you would get an appointment in 24 hours

I nearly booked one when I was around your dates. You can get one pretty quickly, 1 -2 days. I just googled 'private scans london' and rung a few of the companies that came up on the results.

Any Nuffield will do them. Look on their website for their London hospitals. Or a quick google for private ultrasounds etc will give you loads of results.

Usually can book in and have one no problem. Don't need a GP's referral for one.

Also its not uncommon for some women to not have early pregnancy symptoms and to sail through first tri without hardly a blip. If you have tested positive then please try to relax a little.

we went to the fetal medicine centre on harley street (we both work in our local hospital so didn't want to find out there if there was anything wrong). thet were very good indeed.

If you can get to St Georges in Tooting they have a walk in EPU (Early Pregnancy Unit) you do not need an appointment and you will be scanned there and then. It is an unbelivably amazing service and the staff are excellent. NHS as well

I had a 4D scan in Harley street- phoned for appt on monday and could have been seen on wednesday evening! not sure about dating scans but can't see it being very different.

babybond near heathrow does them and there's a place in watford , depending where abouts in london you are !

Thanks ladies. And thanks for your advice all. Maybe I should jsut relax. It's 2 weeks till the scan.... time goes so slowly when you want something so bad. Will sleep on it and have a think tomorrow.
