Hello my Ladies,

It is the middle of the week and my least favourite day as it is long past last weekend and too far from the next to focus on. :eh: So I thought I share some of my thoughts with you as yesterday it was very quiet on the forum. :shakehead:

I was watching OBEM yesterday of course I got all teary eyed as I usuall do and I was thinking about how much I am looking forward to having a big belly again. Also last time I had an emergency c-section due to LO being breeched and so this time I am hoping so much to have a normal birth. It works out rather well actually that the two births (hopefully) will be very different as it's something new. Last time I wrote a birth plan, what a laugh :rotfl: This time round I will take it as it comes and enjoy every contraction.

Well, this is all I had to say really, not very interesting but maybe it'll start some good banter and cheer this dreary day up. :bored:

Hey Kat, Im here!! (working unfortunalely :( )

I havent seen Mondays OBEM yet, the only spare time Ive had has been in the evenings when OH is there and he hates watching it, he watched one and said never again, its boring as hell and pointless  I do hope he doesnt think the same about pregnancy and having a baby, is that normal for a guy to say...??! ha

I am the same Kat, what with last pregnancy having SPD from about 14 weeks :( having a support belt, going on mat leave at 29 wks, having strong painkillers, crutches and then induced a week early due to the pain, I really really DO NOT want that again. Labour was awful, 19hrs, ended up in epidural and forceps and then for weeks after birth being in pain due to pushing so hard during labour that I damaged something (a nerve maybe? cant quite remember) where my pelvis joins my spine, so I couldnt sit down for the first 2 weeks I had to lay down all the time, I also had stitches and remembering having to pee in the bath for the first few days due to the pain! What a total nightmare and then to top it off my darling son was a total nightmare, from the word go, so..... I am definitely with you on wanting a normal pregnancy/delivery this time :pray::pray::pray::pray::pray:

I cant help but look at my sister who has just had her second baby and its an absolute natural! She has the baby and is up and about the next day, doing normal things, cooking, cleaning, showering, looking after 3 yr old and I think... "how"!!??? how does she do it, she makes it look so easy and as if her body isnt falling apart.
Oh I was also covered in stretch marks :( hips, tummy, bum, legs, back of knees, boobs :( not a pretty sight and they were god awful bigs ones too, like a good cm wide :( my sister got one at 40 weeks!!!! and its bloomin tiny!!
Life is so unfair sometimes....

Sorry Kat, Ive just realised Ive put a real dampner on your thread!!!!

On the plus side, Aug/Sep will be here soon!!!!!! Yay!!! hahahah

Not at all Vixx. The whole point of my post was to get some chat going. Your fears are very well founded, however if I remember right last time you were very young when you had your boy so your pregnancy will probably be completely different this time round. I am a great believer of mind over body and even these forum visits are preparing you and taking some of the pressure off. Also you can chat to us when you feel crap and we will always listen. :friends:
Your sister's case just proves that we are all so different and though you may feel it a bit unfair but where God gives with one hand he takes with the other.
I had a lot of strechmarks too and some are still there but I think of them with pride :smug: Maybe this time I will get none :rotfl: what a joke
I only have 21 weeks till TTC

Awww Kat you are so lovely!!!

You are probably correct in that it will be so different the next time around, I was so young (only 17) and in an unstable relationship of 3 years, and I split up with the father when my son was only 3mths old, so it was a very stressful time (no wonder my LO was so troubled, sensing what was going on) and I do hope that now Im in a happy and wonderful relationship that it will all be ok this time. SPD was a real pig and I wouldnt wish it on anyone, I really hope Im lucky enough to go without this time! :)

Yay, 21 weeks!!!! :ttc::bd::poas::2ww::clock::test::dust::bfp::preg::stork::sling1::coffee::coffee::coffee:
Hahaha - I cannot wait!!
Bring on the bump (this time Im going to watch what I eat religiously, so that I dont put on 4 stone) and Im going to exercise still, as I do on a reguar basis anyway and I cant wait to have all of the symptoms, its made me so excited when I think about it!
Do you have any plans to keep you occupied (other than your LO) during this time??

Well, I work full time and when I am not working I am with LO and hubby. I am trying to make time to go to the gym as I love a good workout but my DH works a lot and I just found out my gym has a crèche so I got excited :cheer: called them and they tell me the opening times are 9AM-1PM :dohh:. I mean shouldn't these facilities be available to working mums???? I am very very very annoyed :slap:
I am also preparing fo5r LO's Christening which will be in June and I am making her dress from the train of my wedding dress. I will start it this month as I am hoping she won't grow much until June. I hope it'll turn out to be as I imagine. We'll see :smug: I also have to plan the day as my DH is doing a BBQ and as usual I am left to plan all the sides and the desserts. You have to love how they take all the credit for putting the meat on the fire :shakehead:

We are of course also saving money as we are planning to re-mortgage next year and cut some of the years off.

Wow, it sounds like you really do have your hands full!!! Good old men eh, you can always rely on them to leave us to sort out the fine details of an event :)
The christening dress sounds absolutely amazing Kat, you must show us some pics when its done?? What a wonderful way to make use of your wedding dress. Im not sure I have the skill to be able to produce something like that, so I really admire you.

I would be fuming over the creche situation also, no they really dont seem to cater for working mums, I figured that out a long time ago, mine used to be open until about 3 I think, so more school hours, but I worked until 5/6, so it was no good to me, very frustrating as you feel like you can't really do much when they are so little as no where is open! I do most of my exercise at home at the moment, but I love the gym too!! Have you heard of the Focus T25/Insanity workout DVDs?? Im doing these at the moment. Stared a 14 week course new year and am on week 9 now, its very difficult but only 25mins a day and leave you sweating and almost at tears at the end of it haha but its definitely working (things are toning!!) and saves having to leave home... :)

We are trying to save money too, I think we will need around £7k saved to cover mat leave, so once holidays are out the way in June, I can start some serious saving!!

Hiya PF friendlings

I've been pre-occupied with the madness of shrovetide in Ashbourne this week...if you've never experienced it and enjoy a bit of a bender then I highly recommend it! - lots of crazy burly men chasing after a ball throughout the town (all the shop windows get boarded up and the kids have a week off school) - there are no rules apart from no killing or manslaughter! I liken it to the mad cheese rolling fest, traditional bonkerdness but really good fun :D

I'm off out to a club tommo night to let my hair down too yipppiee!! will prob feel old for a few seconds and then won't care  haha

Hope you're all having a fun weekend...I'm making the most of mine before I'm back at work

xxxxx

Hey Stacey,

So nice to hear from you. How was your drunken weekend. I hope it was all that you wanted and you had buckets of fun.

I was down with the tummy bug on Saturday :puke: which I caught from LO. It was awesome. Yesterday was my birthday on top of all this I am now 31 :cake2: Don't know about you ladies but since I turned 30 I am not looking forward to my birthdays I think I am having an early mid life crisis. DH did make it very special though, he is great when it comes to presents and picking my mood up.

Vixx, how was your weekend?

Hey Kat!

Awww Happy (Belated) Birthday :merry::love::petal: I hope you had a lovely day, despite being unwell??

Welcome to the 31 club!!! Haha Im in it too but not for much longer, I turn 32 in June (boooo) and yes I agree with you, since hitting 30 its just a reminder of how old Im getting and how many more wrinkles Im going to get arghhh!! On the plus side, Asda always ask me for ID when I buy alcohol, so that does cheer me up from time to time :D

I had a nice weekend thank you, didnt do much really, yesterday I went to my nieces 4th birthday party and I got to hold my cute little nephew for ages and everyone was cooing over him, and I could almost imagine it being mine and how it would be when I have my own (hes 10 wks old and ridiculously adorable) - and I was standing next to my OH and I really could imagine how it would be, it was quite nice to experience that :)

My OH hasnt really mentioned us having a baby for ages, I hope he still wants one.... ?
Do you speak to your OH often about TTC?

Thank's Vixx. Yes I had a wicked time yesterday and I have a slice of cake for today to remind me. :)

Awww, I am sure you loved the baby cuddles, I love them too. We'll be there soon, you'll see. I recon guys are not like us when it comes to WTT, they won't talk about it until it's relevant. They are very different from us in most things but this is like "why talk about it until we are actually pregnant". Don't think he doesn't want it anymore it's just that he is probably focusing on the preparation. You have us to talk about it.

I have to say this weekend when I had my head in the loo all saturday it crossed my mind that in august this may be the norm for a while. Am I ready for all this??? As soon as I got better on Sunday I knew I am ready after all it's different when you are pregnant.

Thanks Kat, I think you're right, men don't really like to talk about things unless it involves or impacts them right at that moment, I guess the build up means nothing to them unlike us women who are preparing for it and counting down the weeks! If only they knew, they would probably think we were all mad and run a mile!

Haha I hate being sick, so am dreading that but I dont think I was actually sick when I had morning sickness, I just felt sick all day long :( and was forever sucking on wine gums to try and get rid of the taste in my mouth that I had, I blame that for the start of my 4 stone weight gain! haha - I really cant wait until our time is here :)

I think you will like this story. My older sister and her hubby were trying to get pregnant for a good while and almost given up when she started throwing up and she thought that she had a bug. After a few days she took a test and found out she was expecting and from then on she said every time she puked she had a smile on her face. I always loved her for this a lot . She has 2 beautiful girls and was sick throughout both pregnancies. I was lucky the first time like you but who knows what the next one will bring. I did have the most painful boobies but I didn't throw up a lot.

Only 20 weeks left till TTC

Happy birthday for the other day Kat :pompom: glad you're feeling better now xx

and girlies guess what... you'll never be as old as me I'm 35 in July! It's ok though because I actually forgot how old I was earlier this year and was already going around saying I was 35 until my mate enlightened me that I was a year younger hahaa true story (memory loss already kicking in!)

I had a great night at the weekend BUT please remind me in future not to go to a really noisy, busy club (I actually forgot how to dance) and felt somewhat out of place getting bumped around and queuing for ages at the bar for a G&T, shouting over deafening basslines 'whaaat??' hehee been there done that and properly enjoyed it when I was a tadge smaller. Think I'll stick to pubs/jazz bars and festivals with the biddy scene from now on

In other news, we have temporarily stopped chatting about TTC for a spell as have a few other things going on (possibly moving house..exciting!! and getting prepared for going back to work and starting a new job too)

It doesn't stop me getting very coo-ey over all my friends new babies ;) I was blessed with no morning sickness at all last pregnancy, I feel so sorry for you guys that get it tho my friends sister felt sick constantly and couldn't work properly so I know it can be a real pain in the arse

Whooop to your count downs! Nearly getting there eeee xx
