Hi everyone! Needing some insight to other’s experiences Nexplanon.
I was on the Depo shot for 4 years and had no periods. When I switched to Nexplanon a year ago, there was sporadic periods with thick, dark brown discharge (not sure if this is correct, but it didn’t look like menstrual blood). On the implant, I never had a regular period.
I got the implant removed on the 15th, and since then I’ve had 3 periods. There is a peak of healthy menstrual blood, but not quite there yet. I know that not having a period for 4 years definitely affected things but my husband and I are ready to try and conceive and this is frustrating! Haha.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? How long until your periods returned to “normal”?
