My boys are 9&6. I found out a few days ago I was pregnant, with the boys I started showing quite fast.

When should I tell them? When did you tell your kids? X

We told our son after our 12 week scan.

We had 3 MCs before this pregnancy so didn't want to tell him early, although to be fair I don't think we'd have told him until after 12 weeks regardless.

He's four years old.

I have three boys 13, 12 and 9 we told them after we had the 12 week scan so we had a pic to show them xx

I told my 10 year old quire early. Around 6-7 weeks, I wanted us to tell him rather than him overhear us talking about it and finding out second hand. He then got to play a part in the 12 week reveal to everyone else!!

Our 4.5 year old boy was the first person to be told after our 12 week scan. We used the pics to explain it to him, and then he delighted in telling everyone that he's going to be a big brother!
For us, we worried if we told him earlier, it would be difficult to explain had there been a problem, and if we told him later, he might hear us talking about it to others, or someone else might have asked him direct about it. He was able to be involved this way too, with helping to tell everyone - was so lovely hearing how excited he was when he told others!

I nearly slipped up last night when my 9 year old was there. I don't want them finding out by mistake and I'd like them to come to scan! X

I personally wouldn't tell them until after the 12 week scan... Just to of course be sure that everything is ok and of course as a matter of waiting for the right time.

Just my personal view though.

Xx

I told mine at 8 week they are 4 and 5. Me and their dad kept talking infront of them and they arnt stupid so had to tell them. xx

My son is only two so not sure how much he will really understand but we won't tell him until after the 12 week scan.
