Evening ladies

Last time I worked until due date but this time I just can't bear the thought of dragging myself into work.

I was thinking of going at 37 using a weeks leave then starting maternity leave at 38 weeks?
I carry over 34 days of AL into next year so that seems ok just will have to put this LO in nursery at 8 1/2 months part time unless lO comes earlier.

I'm knackered already compared to last time!xx

I left at 37 weeks and used 10 days annual leave and started my maternity at 39 plus 1! It was lovely to have 2 and a half weeks off before baby was born. Yes it got a little boring as you are waiting but I would defiantly do it like that again xxx enjoy xxx

I started mat leave at 38 weeks but also took 2 weeks annual leave beforehand, so finished work at 36 weeks.

Second time I left at 31 weeks and had 7 weeks hols so again started mat leave at 38 weeks. I had a toddler to look after so I definitely wasn't bored! Lol!

The next time all depends on when the baby is due but I suspect I'll start maternity at 38 weeks, and take a few weeks holiday before hand.

I usually add a couple of weeks at the end too, just for good measure!

It's definitely harder second time around! None of this napping when your tired like first time around! I'm 30 weeks and I could happily finish now. I'm finding it tough managing work, LO and the day to day running of a house without trying to get everything ready for the baby. I finish in exactly a months time when I'm 34 weeks. I'm using two weeks leave so my mat leave starts at 36 weeks. I definitely won't be bored, baby will be early for a start due to en elective section, plus I have my two year old to look after and sort everything out for the baby.

Hi hun,

Gosh is it that time already?

I worked until 38w second time (I am sure you recall my regular moans about it? Lol) and it was too much. I only managed it as my last few weeks fell over the festive period so they were short weeks.

I was incredibly over ambitious! Although now I'm glad I did it otherwise I'd be due back just before Xmas.

I think going a bit earlier this time is sensible.

X

I finished yesterday at 36+4 and I was really knackered, but for my job I am on my feet. I think it depends on your job and how you feel in yourself. Just do what is best for you :) xxx
