I have an 8 week old little boy who on the general is ok at night. He sleeps in our bedroom in his moses basket and I make it as cosy as I can for him in there. We take him up to bed with us at around 10.00pm/10.30pm, feed him and put him down and he's pretty much sleep any time until 1.30/3 and then he's fed, put down and wakes again around 4/6 and wants a feed and then wants to stay awake! So on the general he goes about 3 hours between feeds!
As I'm a FTM, I was just wondering when it's a good idea to try and encourage a bedtime routine, I think this is really important to establish from an early age! I just don't know whether there is any harm in doing it TOO early?
I'm getting some baby monitors for Christmas (as they were something I didn't think I needed at first, oh how wrong I was!) so I was hoping to start bathing him, feeding him and putting him down for the night at around 7pm, in our bedroom with all the lights off and having a monitor downstairs with us? I'm hoping this will shortly cut out his night feeds?
Any ideas or advice would be great!
