My jeans are feeling tight already - eek!! I'm sure it's just from all the rubbish food I've been eating but just wondered when the usual time for getting larger is? I know bumps don't show for a while but is it normal for tighter clothes this early on or am I just getting fat ha ha x

I'm the same I've had to buy maternity leggings as the normal ones are digging in my waist too much!! I'm guessing I'm around 7 weeks

I didn't have to wear maternity clothes until I was 4 months pregnant with my first baby. I actually only just (in the last month) started to fit back into a pair of small pre-pregnancy trousers!!!! Don't suppose I'll be able to wear them for long...

Sounds like I could have written that. I am 9 weeks tomorrow & feel that I need to wear baggy tops to hide my tummy! My trousers are tight but can still do them up. I am having to be careful what I wear now though as don't want people to guess. I also presumed I was just getting lardy due to eating more (helps me with the nausea).

Not going to get any maternity clothes yet but will see if I can find some baggy t-shirts to hide my roundness

I'm suffering with real bloating at the minute too, I've bought bigger leggings just to tide me over until I start getting a bump, none of my clothes fit around my waist at the moment, I wanted to get some new jeans but none of the maternity ones fit either because they're not designed for people without a bump.

I felt bloated early on.. It's just on my tummy and slowly creeping on my hips now.

Leggings and joggers are all I wear.

I have my grandad's funeral next Tuesday :(. I'll be 12 plus 4. Any ideas on what I can wear?
I was thinking of buying a tee dress or something similar? Do you think maternity dresses will still be too big?

Xx

A tea dress will be fine for something like that :)

I accidentally bought a maternity tunic a few years ago (I'm a bit overweight anyway and it was super comfy) but I wore it whilst bloated the other day and looked the most pregnant that I have so far, I looked more like 8 months than 8 weeks.

Yeah I think a tea dress would be nice. I'm going to order some of those bands that go in your jeans as not sure how long they are going to fit for. Must stop eating crap

I've put on 7.5 llbs since finding out I'm pregnant. I am eating crap but also bloat like mad. Can still fit in my clothes but look pregnant as its all boobs and tummy. I'm normally a size 12 -14 but have a flat tummy. Now I have a bulge. Brought a few size 14 tops for work (usually fit 10-12 on top) and they are helping but no hiding the tummy. Wearing leggings and my biggest jeans at the weekend. As soon as that 12 week scan is done I'm getting maternity clothes. May by a few bugger bits from supermarkets to keep me going in the meantime. Anyone know any good value nice maternity bras?

It's bloating hun - it'll soon go down. Congratulations by the way xxx

Its hard to believe that baby's only 1-2 cm right now isn't it??? I can't get into my trousers, but when the mw weighed me at booking, I've lost 2 Kg. Like you i'm investing in belly bands for trousers and bought a selection of dresses with an empire line to wear with nice comfy leggings. The heparin bruises from my injections mean its really uncomfortable to wear anything tight now.

my early bloat has gone now, i'm going to be 11 weeks in the morning, if that helps, normally it is then swiftly replaced with a little bumpage...

My jeans started getting tight at 8 weeks. now just in leggings and jeggings now

xx

I have never worn leggings in my 39 years but want to! I have a pair of jeggings but never wore them, used to play ice hockey and so thighs were an odd shape!! but I am going to be brave one day, prob once I can wear flip flops etc as I have no shoes for them to go with or longer tops to waer over bum!

My jeans are all really right, I'm usually a size 8 and size 10 is toght! iv put weight on my hips, x

Phew it sounds like I'm not the only one. Jean waist expanders on order :)

I rarely wear leggings but only with a long top as I've such a huge ass :0

Jj - go for it. What about some ballet pumps with leggings?? How exciting playing ice hockey, you don't hear of many women doing that. I can't even stand on the ice let alone skate!!

Yeah go for it JJ I only wear them with long tops but they are so comfortable :) specially for work

Xx
