What's the difference?

I am consultant led and have my first consultant appointment today... what is the difference between him and the midwife?

depends what u see him for my midwife referd me 2 a consultant due to my bmi being a bit high I saw him he just chatted with me about healthy eating and the risks of being over weight when pregnant

Hi I’m consultant led because I have a blood disorder. I have low platelets and that needs to be monitored throughout pregnancy. If they’re too low the risk of bleeding increases also if they’re low I can’t have an epidural or c-section (unless emergency)

I'm consultant led due to having twins, so I am seeing him most often at the hospital, and I see a midwife closer to home in between appointments with the consultant!

He did pretty much the same as the midwife did last week... checked my pee and bp and everything. Got to hear LO heartbeat again aswell yay!
