What's the difference......?

Between the combined oral contraceptive and the mini pill.

I know you can take the mini pill and still breast feed. I also know you have to be more strict taking it but what are the main differences.... Do you still take a 7 day break etc and have a period? Xx

Hey hun the mini pill is Progesterone only so doesn't have oestrogen in it! I had to take this as couldn't have oestrogen but since LO this didn't agree either!

The one I took you didn't have a break...just kept taking them! I didn't have a period either but don't know if that's because I was bf!

I wondered this as I can't take the pill I was originally mo due to a blood clot I'd never remember to

Not sure how it affects with BF etc but I got changed onto mini pill a few years ago due to history of breast cancer in family

You take it continually without a break. It was ok but after years of being on microgynon I found it hard not to have a break as I used to be able to time my period to the day!!

Apart from that I couldn't really tell the difference x

I'm on it and the doctor said that you can get some spotting. I'm nervous about the taking it at the same time everyday but 3 days in so far so good!

I was told its a twelve hour window I'm on cerazette and I checked the leaflet to be sure
