whats everyone doing for

I doubt we'll do much this year. We tend to do romantic stuff the rest of the year.

Mind you, I think my favourite year was the one when hubby was still living in Australia (and before we were married) and on Valentines day I awoke to an email and a link to a webpage.....

It was a little Valentines puzzle. I just had to answer some simple questions about him and us to get to the end.

I got all the answers right and then came to a page that had pictures of 3 women, two of them famous and considered beautiful and one of me. The question was 'Who is the sexiest woman in the whole world?' Of course I clicked on my pic :D

That got me to the end, and being told 'I love you' 'More than anything' 'And want to be with you forever' over the course of various webpages and then some pictures and music to download.

I cried. I was so moved. It was the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me. All the more so as hubby is a complete geek and his little online quiz for me was so touching and totally in keeping with his geekiness.

I saved every single webpage of it to file and have just gone back to look at it now. Made me smile an awful lot.

That's reeally sweet :D

Had to teach my partner to send emails....so do not think I will be getting anything that good lol

We are going for a nice meal out at the venue where we held our wedding reception back in July. I cannot wait to see the place again! :D

I dont think we are doing anything....valentines day doesnt really bother me like that plus i dont really like going out looking like a heffer...we will get each other a card though and tempted to get the champagne and chocolates off at work both for 15pound and watch a movie with the chocs and save the champers for when these 2 pop out!

Nothing!! I'l be lucky if I even get a card!!
Not too bothered though, dont have energy for much at the moment anyway!

Oooo, didn't spot you were in Tonbridge, ahoy there neighbour

Your James needs a good slap on the wrists, money is no excuse not to be romantic! When my brother was skint he turned the corridor in his flat into a french resturant by putting a dinky garden table in the and covering it with a cheque cloth and a tea light then he cooked his girlfriend dinner. It was a sweet gesture.

Although I have to be honest, I booked the dinner reservation and the hotel and we go for a massage once a month anyway so we just booked our next one for valentines. Still...

i TELL A LIE
2 years a go James got me a valentines card
Plaine white mith a minute red heart in the middle but i was thinking its the thought that counts and at least he's got me one this year.
well.................
it had no writing on the envelope and when i opened the card there was no writing on the inside of the card.

His reply was "see i did get you something"
when i quired the empty card he said well you know who its from so why write in it?
      :shakehead:
He shows he loves me in other much more important ways so i'll forgive him for his lack of romance for gifts.

Every day is Valentine's day for us!! :puke: :puke: :puke:

nah, OH is in the Czech Republic so will be putting my feet up & catching up on all the CSI I hvae Sky plussed. We don't usually go out as it is always so busy. Normally just a card & we cook a nice meal with a bottle of wine. Obviously that is out this year anyway as is a lot of my fave foods so not really fussed.

He did buy me a couple of bunches of flowers at the weekend though as he won't be here. :D :D

He's quite a sweetie really. I'm probably less romantic than he is.

lol he's a keeper :D I had to go all the way to Australia to find him  Well, he had to come all the way over to England to find me originally  But yeah, you get the picture.

He's wonderful. I really cannot complain. I know I'm a lucky lady.

We'll have an extra special evening meal (curry) - probably complete with girls (one moaning that she doesn't like rice and the other yelling every few minutes because she has a really bad problem with constipation at the mo. and it hits worest at dinner time - bless her! :wall:

There again, I may just put them to bed early!!! Trouble is, OH commutes to London everyday so he goes to bed at 9.30 so we can't eat too late!!!

May have a weeny bit of bubbly!!! And we'll exchange cards etc. It's my birthday at the weekend so I am hoping to go out somewhere special on Sat (hopefully lunch out and the zoo or something like that).

Valentine's day is a little over rated for me but I'm kinda hoping the Interflora van pulls up at some time during the day. Last year I was away from home and my fella had roses sent to where I was staying - it was lovely. I've got him a card and we may well cuddle up on the sofa and watch a film for the evening.

The most important thing about the day is the fact that it's my son's birthday. It's such a special day for me :)

One thing's for sure, whether we're all doing Valentine's day with or without a partner this year, next year we'll all have someone else to share it with :)
