OH has band practice on Valentines eve But he's taking me for a meal the night before so he's just about forgiven.....Why don't you surprise your OH and cook a romantic meal?

we are going out for a meal thursday night, after having our scan that afternoon.
And OH was looking at log cabins in scotland for a long weekend break, for next month ( as a late prezzie for me ). Just us two, my mum said she will have Harrison.

Then rather than comute home to Tunbridge Wells we'll be staying at the Hilton International and hopefully getting up to no good, before work the next day

Your James needs a good slap on the wrists, money is no excuse not to be romantic! When my brother was skint he turned the corridor in his flat into a french resturant by putting a dinky garden table in the and covering it with a cheque cloth and a tea light then he cooked his girlfriend dinner. It was a sweet gesture.

Although I have to be honest, I booked the dinner reservation and the hotel and we go for a massage once a month anyway so we just booked our next one for valentines. Still...

My OH is working in the evening but he is treating me to a meal during the day at my favourite little restaurant - it's at a place called Wroxham Barns, where there are little cutesyc craft shops and stuff, and there is the cutest restaurant there which I love.

He's also said he'll cook me a meal when he next gets an evening off.

Don't think we're doing presents though i'd love him to get me something... lol.

we arent goin out thursday as ken has work early on friday so we are goin 2 the cinema and 4 a drink friday nite, i chose the cinema ratha than a meal as we r goin 4 a meal with our parents saturday nite so didnt fancy 2 in a row

i bought ken a jacket that he knows about, got it in the sales lol and as a surprise ive got him a big toblerone, some smellies, a simpsons glass (he is a huge simpsons fan) and off bump i hav got a nice silver frame with my scan pic on and framed the scan pic for him

he got me a radio/docking station for my ipod and apparantley i hav a little surprise for the day so we will see

we're not doing anything for valentines day except exchanging cards and gifts. he has his little boy on thursdays so we are going for a nice meal wednesday night instead which i don't mind as thursday everywhere will be busy and as we haven't booked a table or anything we might not have even been able to get in anywhere on thursday. all this is if i am talking to him by then we had a bit of an arguement yesterday so we're not really talking at the moment. i'm so glad i don't live with him yet sometimes he really annoys me

Ohh, I just had a nostalgia trip! I come from Norfolk originally and used to go to Wroxham Barns loads when I was a kid! I'm from Reepham, my parents still live there xx

I'm cooking steak and proper chips! My dh is at work from 6am til 6pm so I doubt it'll be very romantic, he'll sleep I've made him a goody bag of his fave sweets from when he was a kid which I hope he'll like! So yes, very exciting!

I doubt we'll do much this year. We tend to do romantic stuff the rest of the year.

Mind you, I think my favourite year was the one when hubby was still living in Australia (and before we were married) and on Valentines day I awoke to an email and a link to a webpage.....

It was a little Valentines puzzle. I just had to answer some simple questions about him and us to get to the end.

I got all the answers right and then came to a page that had pictures of 3 women, two of them famous and considered beautiful and one of me. The question was 'Who is the sexiest woman in the whole world?' Of course I clicked on my pic

That got me to the end, and being told 'I love you' 'More than anything' 'And want to be with you forever' over the course of various webpages and then some pictures and music to download.

I cried. I was so moved. It was the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me. All the more so as hubby is a complete geek and his little online quiz for me was so touching and totally in keeping with his geekiness.

I saved every single webpage of it to file and have just gone back to look at it now. Made me smile an awful lot.
