Over Christmas?

It's the second year we'll have spent Xmas just the two of us!last year it didn't turn out quite as expected but we had a laugh about it!

What do you all have breakfast time?

Were going for a traditional turkey with veg for dinner (all from a local farm shop) and some dessert we pick nearer the time!

Any ideas recipes welcome! Once I find my mums Christmas cake recipe I'll post! It's a fruit cake with no cherries or peel as nobody in our family likes it!lol!

As a kid we used to have kippers for breakfast every year without fail, now its just cereal x

In Sweden we eat gammon but as demba don't eat pork we have a leg of lamb instead

We'll just have normall everyday breakfast then we'll go to my Mums for christmas lunch, i don't eat turkey so she's doing turkey & pork, then cold meats, salad, etc for tea x

breakfast is usually a bacon sandwich, christmas dinner is either prawn cocktail or homemade pate for starter, turkey with duchess potatoes, carrots, sausage balls, pigs in blankets, stuffing, roast parsnips, roast potatoes and lots of gravy. pudding is something chocolatey for the girls and christmas pud for the boys. Then later in the evening we have a cheese board, chocolates, nuts etc. A right pig out ! cant wait for this year. last year i was in hospital so had christmas day on the 29th i think it was so this year it will be LOs 1st nirthday on christmas eve and then christmas day and it will be just so special. xxx x

Ooh sounds yummy I'm getting a few ideas as I'd like to make out own traditions ESP with lo!

I think I'll probably make a big old English breakfast in the morning and then at lunch time my parents are coming round for the full Xmas dinner. My sister and her fiancé are coming round about 4 so I'll make a buffet for the evening with cheese and crackers, bit of fruit, cakes, sausages etc.

Then of course they'll be crazy amounts of chocolate in between lol. I'm guessing Paige will sleep a lot through excitement and being so full she can't move! Hehe.

Breakfast is coffee  Not for the kids obviously :oooo: they're hyper enough  I couldn't eat breakfast and then eat a big lunch but we do have lunch early at 1/1.30
It's turkey and all the trimmings with roast beef and gammon...love it :)

I have chicken, stuffing, mash, roasties, cocktail sausages, same every year lol the rest if them have turkey and the works x
