What were your first signs of labour starting????

My labour with my first started with dull bachache and braxton hicks then it was period type pain along side it. I didn't realise I was in labour until they were coming every 4 mins as it was mainly backache and not overly painful at first.

Second time round I had irregular contractions and pain in bump and back and started loosing mucus plug. It stopped. Then started again that night and lost lots of mucus plug that was blood tinged with contractions every 10 mins. I could tell they were contractions as as soon as they started I remembered them from last time lol. Xxx

I'm 33 weeks tomorrow and this week I've felt nausea's, pooed so much more, pains keeping me awake, feel really really heavy and lots of pressure down there. Haven't noticed any mucus plug but when I had my last midwife app about 10 days ago baby was 2/5ths engaged. Keep thinking I'm going to go really early any opinions? I know baby can engage and disengage but all the other symptoms too, especially the nausea kicking back in xxxx

Ooh bunny that sounds uncomfortable, I hope you don't have this for the next 7 weeks!! have you seen your midwife and told them? I've had back pain for about 4 days now but it's more of a muscular pain than baby as it comes on when I sit in certain positions!

I'm so friggin uncomfortable now girls! I just can't cope with carrying this baby anymore :( how are you supposed to relax when your constantly in pain and tired lol, sorry to moan im Just fed up today xxx

Sorry to hear you are feeling fed up Colleen, really hope baby appears for you soon. I remember how frustrated I was towards the end of my pregnancy last time so I really do feel your pain x

Haha sparkling... Might throw done flour down and get scrubbing again lol! I'm going to buy a ball tomorrow to sit and bounce on, also some fresh pineapple! I'll try anything! Make sure you do rest bunny, we don't have much resting Time left xxx

Ohhh you just reminded me that my ball is in the shed awaiting use :D

What week do they recommend to start using them? x

Yes colleen its you next!! :) get flour on that floor and get it cleaned haha and get on that ball, and rock :) x xx

I don't have a clue h16 but I'd say from 37 week as your full term from 37 onwards xxx

Can sit on it and roll etc from whenever but no bouncing untill full term ( 37 weeks )

I've been rocking/bouncing (very lightly) as my boy is head down but keeps switching between side on and back to back and this was one of the things said to help encourage him into the optimum position for birth. Only 33+3 at the moment so midwife not overly concerned about his position - perhaps I should just stick to rocking!
Xxx

Ok I will hold off for now then but I will definitely be bouncing bang on 37 weeks! Anything to encourage labour, would hate to go over 41 weeks again like last time! x

Most sites say from 32 weeks for the birthing ball, I've used it for a while mainly just for comfort as sitting down was so painful! Also, when youre term I wouldn't actually bounce, I was advised to rock your hips side ways, and also doing the figure 8 can help, it encourages baby's head to move downwards. Bouncing can bump them back up if they've started to engage. I've always remembered this from baby number 2! :) x x

Omg ive been bouncing today :( xxx

It's still a good position being sat on the ball, it opens your pelvis up, I've found circle motions to be good. Make sure you dont slouch on it either ..! I'm just remembering how my midwife was who was working hard to get my second labour kick started for me! As it was so slow! :) ha ha good luck really hope things get moving for you! Clean the floors again :) ️hehe x
