I'm 38 weeks now so I'm looking put for every little sign that labour might be imminent

Just wondered how all your previous labours started??

Pooing a lot! Started to lose mucus plug 2 weeks before baby appeared, felt really heavy - lots of bladder pressure, back ache, cramping etc xx

H16 we've just been talking about pooing in August thread (nice conversation to have lol)...
When did this start for you?? Just curious how early out can start to 'clear out' from lol

My class explained basically cramping that comes and goes, back ache, maybe feeling a little unwell, mucus plug etc. I think in general you will just know labour is starting well before baby arrives as it feels diff etc..... But this is just what I've been told lol xxxx

For a about a week now I have been loosing my mucus plug, getting random back pain, cramps and tightening along with lots of pooping and nausea. Hoping this is a sign I am moving in the right direction. Booked in for a section in 33 days so not sure if I am ready mentally to go naturally before then!!

I've not lost any of my plug yet... I finished uni today and now I just want baby to come, I know 38 week is early but I'm fed up! going to google ways of getting labour to start lol xxx

From what I remember it started about 2 weeks before same as the mucus plug :)

When you start losing the mucus plug for me it started with the tiniest little bits that looked like a tiny bogey on tissue (tmi I know) and then gradually over the 2 weeks the bits got bigger and bigger until a couple of days before when I lost I nice ball of it that was tinged reddy brown lol.

The backache was a massive indicator for me though as everyone I knew said to expect back ache before labour starts and for a couple of days before I was really suffering from it x

I'm 35+4 and over last 3 days have had some nausea, mild cramps, a few 'tightenings' which is the first time Iv been aware of braxton hicks or anything similar, also had much looser and more regular bowels (tmi) - this sounds like could be body gearing up for something to happen but imagine this will go on for a few weeks until I'm a bit further on (I hope) - yikes! Xx

I say this to literally everyone who is pregnant but the only thing that worked for me was getting on my hands and needs and scrubbing the floors like a lunatic! I was over a week late and this was my last resort and it really did work! x

I only lost two big blobs of plug over 3 days and then labour kicked off the day after I lost the second! Didn't have my clear out until I was in labour, had been contracting for about half an hour by then! Had bh from 16 weeks and false labour twice so was completely on edge but when it started my goodness didn't I know it

With my DD it started with contractions which stopped and I had a sweep the next day and not long after the contractions started again and I finally called the hospital when my waters broke. I never saw my plug but I didn't pay much attention to what came out of me to be honest. My pains were just like period cramps at the start and gradually got worse and closer together. I think you can't miss it when it happens. ;)

Just had my 38 week midwife appt and im 2/5ths engaged, I'm off to scrub the kitchen floor h16 haha xxx

None until it happened. Woke in the night with a bit of aching and a load of mucus plug. It all kicked off from there, 14 hours later I had my baby.

Absolutely nothing untill my waters went pop when I rolled over in bed at 5am

No signs until my waters popped when I woke up for a wee. But, of it helps I was extremely agitated the day before and couldn't settle. Turned into a monster bitch for a day x

Tri hopping. Nothing at all til my waters went...had DD1 6 hours later. Xx

I'm 33 weeks tomorrow and this week I've felt nausea's, pooed so much more, pains keeping me awake, feel really really heavy and lots of pressure down there. Haven't noticed any mucus plug but when I had my last midwife app about 10 days ago baby was 2/5ths engaged. Keep thinking I'm going to go really early any opinions? I know baby can engage and disengage but all the other symptoms too, especially the nausea kicking back in xxxx

Are you getting any backache hun? Try and take it easy as sounds like things are gearing up x

Horrendous back ache, me and OH have just this minute been talking about how bad my backache is ! xxxx

Definitely lots of rest for you hun! You might of just overdone things a little with the house move etc so just try and put your feet up on your days off as much as possible, hopefully things will calm down. At least you don't have too many shifts left now, bet you can't wait to finish :) x
