Hi ladies. I read the forum everyday but don't post very often, I just tend to find the answers to my niggles or find someone having the same problems as me to make sure that everything is normal!

This forum is great and now that I'm on maternity leave thought I should join proper. So what I need to know is what you have all been doing whilst on maternity leave....

I started mat leave last week, and had a cold so slept through most of it while doing odd jobs and admin. Now week two and I am so bored! Daytime tv is dire and spd prevents me from doing any more cleaning than I'm doing already. So what do I do for the next 12 days (hopefully less!)?

Thanks in advance!
Bhav

Hey! Lol I was just about to say house preparations! But if you've got SPD it's not really an option. I think when I go on mat leave I will be lying in everyday making the most of sleep! Lol. Online shopping? Xmas shopping online? Then you don't have to worry about it when baby is here :) x

I dont start maternity leave until15th November but have already started planning what I will be doing! I've arranged some shopping days with friends so I can get some Christmas shopping done. Will be washing and ironing the baby's clothes, packing hospital bag, meeting friends / family for lunch, emptying one of the cupboards in the kitchen to store baby's bottles, formula etc, rearrange the lounge / diner to maximise space (hubby will be doing most of this obv). I'm even thinking about putting my tree up early this year to get myself in the Christmas spirit!!

Will also try and book in for another mum-to-be treatment at the spa.

And that list is not exhaustive! LOL

Can you tell how excited I am to leave work! I've even got a reminder on my outlook calendar counting down the weeks until I leave for maternity!! x

my maternety leave starts really today but i have had 2 weeks annual leave until now.
I dont do anything atall. Im so tired i cant even be arsed to clean. I have def not been nesting. I go to town sometimes and meet friends but its really an effort and i get alot of pains..
I been reading loads and been on here really :D

Hey! Ive been filling my time by selling bits and bobs on ebay! Its great fun and might make you a bit of money! Enjoy your leave :)

I'm not yet Tri 3, but I can't wait to go on my maternity leave (hate my job!).

I have 6 weeks till a months holiday starts , and opted for 5 weeks before baby is due .

I have loads planned, make all my own xmas cards to save money, buy and wrap all xmas pressies and stocking for my kids etc - basically get all sorted for xmas.

I am going to meet friends that work funny hours, so a cuppa in the late om works for them too.
I am going to get my house finished, hence another reason why the long time off, I have to turn a utility room into a nursey, it has no doorway or wall yet, and elec/gas need moving!) also tile and Diy a gutted bathroom, and basically my house is a DIY SOS advert so I will be short of time if anything!

Also looking forward to washing, drying and ironing my babys clothes!

Why don't you get baby anoucement cards or thank you notes sorted, and bag packed, and xmas cards made?
