hmmmm, now i can understand the logic to having the same surname as the baby, i understand that there are emotional reasons why the baby should have the mothers name in this circumstance... but i think there is another thing to be considered, the baby will always be YOUR baby, not matter what the surname, no one will ever question that and the baby will live with you etc
If the baby has daddies surname, it might help baby to find daddy in later life, it will keep some connection to the man who fathered him and i think thats quite important
