What miffed me off yesterday...

Well i thought im in the mood so lets get all my xmas shopping out of the way!Doing really well got most of it done and we walked passed a tattoo shop, so me and my man agreed we will both get a little tattoo of our sons name!
As we were about to get on the bus i took the covering of the tattoo that i got on my wrist and OMG... his name they had spelt it TALOR instead of TAYLOR! I rushed back to the tattoo shop in disguist it wasnt that, they had made me write down his name on a piece of paper idiots! I went back had his name correctly written on my other wrist and they added his date of birth for free, so now i have to go back in 10 days to let the wrong one heal and get a pattern over it! So im walking round with Talor on my left and Taylor on the other!

They should give you a full refund, covered the other one up for free and do it again on the other wrist!

I would have blown a fuse, you should ask for a full refund and have the other redone for free, remembe when u pic the cover up tat choose wisely u dont wanna end up pickin summit quickly then end up hating it XkelX

As a tattooist myself I have to say its a simple case of 'buyer beware'.

Never, ever get a tattoo done on a whim. It is ALWAYS better to do proper research and make sure that your tattooist is up to the job.

It is tragic that your tattoo is mis-spelt, but you have to take some responsibility as you really should have checked it before they began tattooing.

I hope that tattoo you do have is of reasonable quality and that you can do something about the mis-spelt one.

To anyone else...

Check for photos or preferably real-life examples of a tattooists work before you commit.

Not all tattooists are equal and you have to live with it forever.

My OH is tattoo mad, and we are friends with the guy that hs done the bulk of his tattoos (we also designed and host his website).

He did a cool tattoo the other month. It was done on the inside of a womens ear! It looked really good!

Yeah well there going over it for me again after its healed, 10 days it takes apparntly and i did get it done on the other wrist! I did check it he did do it right on the stencil but moved it along and forgot the y so i had seen it right and theyve done tattoo's of mine b4 and they have been brilliant!
