Hello,

I was just wondering what make of tens-machine everyone used & if you thought it was worthwhile having one?

Also, i dont know if i should buy or hire? If a hire one, most of them only give you 30 days hire at a cost of £25-£30 What's to say the baby comes early or late and the timing is way out? If that were the case id have to re-hire it again costing in total £50-£60 Well....ive seen them for sale for that price so ive been thinking I should just buy one & keep it for the next baby (planning on more)

What are your thought ladies?

T xx

Might be worth speaking to your MW at your next check as often your hospital will hire you out an obstetric one cheaply

I went to a birthing class on saturday and they said any brand is fine as long as it has a boost button and it is the one designed for pregnancy and not just back problems (the ones for pregnancy/labour have 4 pads)

I hired mine for 30 days for £15 (+£15 deposit in cheque form ut it didnt get cashed) from the hospitals maternity unit.

I wouldnt worry about going over or under the 30 days, the chances are you will give birth within that 30 day period :)

EDIT to add: I dont remember the brand
