Monday - Shepards Pie and veg

I've been eating such shit whilst in first tri, I havent cooked for yonks as even going in the kitchen makes me gag  Am making more of an effort today though.

Last night we had salmon with noodles and today I'm slow cooking a ham in spiced backcurrant and baking some foccacia to have posh sandwiches for tea. Still can't face a 'dinner' :puke:

I've been eating quite a lot of rubbish too, in the last couple of days I've been making an effort to stop eating so much junk though! We've had:

Friday: Ready meal Indian (chicken tikka massala with poppadoms & naan bread) from M&S.
Saturday: Takeaway - I had a chicken wrap with chips & OH had a kebab! :puke:
Sunday: Roast chicken with roast potatoes, yorkshire puds, veg & gravy
Monday: Cold leftover chicken from sunday with mash potato and beans
Tuesday: Shepherds pie with veg & gravy
Wednesday: Got a beef casserole in the oven on very low heat for tonight which I will serve with dumplings!

Dunno about the rest of the week as I have to go shopping tomorrow!

I struggle so much not to eat the same things!

I've had (not in any particular order!)

pizza hut
Fish and chips takeaway
Jacket potato
Spag bol
Cottage pie
Spaghetti and cheese (and ketchup)

having spanish ommlette and sauted potatoes tonight :D

(the takeaways are because we're up to our eye balls in packing, honest!)

Over the past 7 days i've had:

Tonight: Cod in butter sauce, new potatoes & peas.
Tuesday: Spag bol
Monday: Pizza & chips
Sunday: Sunday Roast
Saturday: Chicken wrapped in bacon with cheese & BBQ sauce (Joe Rigatoni's not me  )
Friday: Lot's of alcohol

Can't remember before then but probably lasagne or Jacket potatoe :bored:

weds- filled ham and cheese pasta with bacon mushrooms peppers sundried toms and a sundried tom and gorgonzola sauce

tues- duck pancakes, chicken satay and prawn toast (from the frozen sainsburys party range  )

Monday- Cheese and crackers with mango chutney

sunday- Lasagne made by DH for the first time ever

Saturday- Pasta pesto and bacon

Friday- meatloaf roast tatties carrots and a tomato sauce.

Ive been more inventive since on mat leave as I have time to plan, but the problem I have is that DS either eats at the after school club or wants some thing as soon as he gets home from school and DH is home at 6 and rearly wants something, usually if ive cooked he doesnt want it and if I havnt he does  so I end up doing DS something early wait for DH to get home then be disappointed when he doesnt want anything so end up eating crap like cheese and crackers coz whats the point in cooking just for me...sigh!

Saturday - Pork casserole
Sunday - Carvery at a pub for Grandma's birthday. (Roast Beef)
Monday - Frozen meal
Tuesday - Beans on Toast
Wednesday - Asda Pizza (Ham and Mushroom)
Tonight - Roast Pork.

Tonight - Chicken Pie
Friday - Spag Bol
Thurs - Burger, Chips & Spagheti Hoops
Weds - Gammon

I try and plan a weeks menu then write a shopping list for the supermarket and I tend to have different things each week.

This week I have had/am having

Friday - Fish goujons with potato wedges
Sat - Homemade pizza (bought the base just added topping so much healthier)
Sun - Meatloaf with roasted veg
Mon - Stuffed peppers
Tues - Sausage casserole
Wednesday - Jacket spuds
Thursday Chicken & fennel one pot

Ooooo working backwards (and this is not a good week as I've been recovering from my op so not cooking as much)

Tonight - Moussaka
Sunday - Cottage pie
Saturday - Cottage pie
Friday - Turkey Kung Po and rice
Thursday - Spicen apricot sausages, jacket spud with cheese and veggies
Wednesday - Spag Bol
Tuesday - Jacket spud with filling and veggies

I tend to do a few of favourites each week, of which we have a lot and then cook other things we don't normally have.

Last night: chicken and veg pie, mash, carrots and green beans
Sunday: roast beef, potatoes, yorkshires, parsnips, mange tout
Saturday: lasagne and salad
Friday: breaded chicken, oven chips and baked beans
Thursday: chilli
Wednesday: potato gnocchi and sauce (made with creme fraiche, cheese, bacon, onion and peas)
Tuesday: Pork chops, potatoes, sweetcorn and peas

Can't remember further back then that.

I try not to do things like chicken nuggets or oven chips but they are handy to have in the freezer when I don't feel like cooking and I think they are okay every now and again. Sadly my OH was brought up on processed food and especially anything that could go in the microwave so I think he prefers meals like chicken dippers, chips and beans rather than what I consider 'real' food iykwim. :wall: He also refuses to eat veg so I have to be quite cunning at hiding it in things (mince and pasta dishes are really good for this!) His sister also has appalling eating habits (she will only eat bread and crisps). :?

i feel like we ate the same stuff all the time, i wanna be more adventurous but OH never seems that keen so im not wasting my time making the effort if hes not fused! I cant remember even what i ate yesterday but we seem to alternate between

Chicken breast, chips and beans
Lamb/pork chops, veg, some sort of potato and gravy
Spaghetti bolognaise
Casserole and rice
chicken cooked dinner
fish, mash and peas.
