what happens after clomid?

Hi ladies I'm about to start my 5th round of clomid in the next few days. It looks like I'm ovulating just annoyingly not getting pregnant! I just wanted to know what happens after I finish clomid. Will I have more indepindepth tests?
What sort of treatment will I receive next?

We've had DP sperm count done which is fine, I have had various blood tests and an hsg which show PCOS

2.5 years ttc with one MMC- myself 21 and DP 23

I'm just about to start my forth round of clomid (I also have PCOS). I'm ovulating, but not conceiving... I have a consultant appointment on Thursday to discuss my next steps. I can let you know what's said? But I imagine it's different in different locations.

I believe next for me is a HSG to see if there are any other problems, and then IUI.

Thanks, yeah that would be great if you could let me know. As I have had an Hsg already I'm hoping I will get laperoscopy as I have endo symptoms too.

I think it changes in diff areas
After clomid we go to ivf unless things are found on the hsg like scar tissue etc then they might want to do a lap etc.
They may do a lap to check for endo and then either iui or ivf?
Fingers crossed youl get preg this month and wont need it xx

Thankyou, yeah I don't know what my local trust does. Unfortunately not pregnant this month, so start 5th round tomorrow and then have one round left. I don't think the last round will be worth anything though, as we're getting married in July, so all our time will be taken up. I don't think I'm old enough for IVF so hopefully IUI will be next x

Oh god dont get me started on the ivf age limit!! Ahhhh lol. I'm too young too lol I'm 23 on 31st March 2016 and wont be referred to ivf till then so would have to be private if i needed it. Hate how the lower limit is 23. OH and I started ttc when I was 20 and he was 23 and now were 22 and 25. Had so much fobbing off due to our age lol xxx

I finished my 7th round of clomid in January and we had a follow up appointment in March where we discussed our options- he said we could try more clomid or go for IVF- we chose IVF and we have our Seminar and Consultation in June I had my HSG done before I started clomid as they needed to check my tubes were clear before giving me it- as he said if they were blocked then there wouldn't be any point in starting the clomid.
We had to repeat aload more tests- blood tests and hubby's test etc then we got the appointment date through- didn't expect it to be so soon x

Millielaura- you're not much older than me! I'm 23 sep 2016! Which is a long time away when you've been trying as long as we have. Especially given we are so young and not pregnant definitely determines some sort of problem. I would have thought ivf would have better results for us too given our age xx

Thanks jadeb - I think our next step might be IUI but I'm trying to get reflected for a lap and dye and ovarian drilling if I need it. If we go straight to ivf we've got a long wait Ahead of us. I hope yours goes well, when do you start your first treatment x

Yeah I always think that, if we're meant to be in the most fertile time of our lives and not getting preg then that surely indicates a problem. I don't really get the whole thing about people who are younger waiting longer to be referred in the fist place either, again surely it not happening means theres a prob. I would of thought ivf would have really good success rates at our age too! I think 23 is such a stupid age to start offering ivf, theres plenty of older women who have suprise pregnancies so why do we have to wait just because we are younger xxx

I know! I could understand the age being 21, but 23 is stupidly random. It didn't take long for me to get referred, but it took ages for my consultant to start treatment, so I changed hospitals. I now see the same nurse every time, which is nice as they understand you more each time you meet. Xx
