What else do i need?

my due date seems to be fast approaching and i know there is probably loads more things i need to be buying but im stumped as to what else i need!!!

up to now we have got:-

Moses Basket (not buying cot yet as still living with in-laws)
Pram
Swing
Bottles
Sterliser
Dummies
Baby bath
Baby box with Johnsons bits in (pic below)

few packs of nappies

clothes -
bibs
short/long sleeved baby grows
socks
booties
a pair of baby addidas trainers! so cute!
tops
trousers
fleece/cover to wrap baby in/put in moses basket
hats
scratch mittens

i (THINK) that's everything we have got

Is there anything else we need to buy? i know we need a changing mat but apart from that i cant think of anything else

I would get a sleeping bag for bub . I used one from birth just for the peace of mind that the covers weren't suffocating her!

Looks a good list

I take it you are planning to formula feed from the list? You still might need breast pads in case of leakage. And save the dummies for if you really need them IMHO.

FWIW also I'd get cotton wool for cleaning baby's bottom instead of using wipes, at least in the early months. And I'd just stick to bathing LO in plain water for the early baths also. Never saw the need for smellies on a baby's skin, they smell gorgeous as they are IMHO.

I'd suggest a sleeping bag over sheet and blankets but thats down to personal preference.

I'd get a decent thermometer also. And some muslin squares. Saves washing sheets etc if you've got one of them to go under LO's head.

Have you got sleepsuits? Always easier to use in the early weeks even in daytime as faffing about with 3 peices of clothing and sometimes changing 2-3 times a day makes masses of laundry. Also I'm not one for pulling babies around to get them into an outfit. Sleepsuits all the way for me I had 8 fwiw.

Towel for bathing?

I'd not worry about shoes until walking tbh as its meant to not be good for LO's feet to put shoes on their feet before this.

I agree nappies, get a few diffeernt brands to try, the small packs and then you can work out what is best on your princess as the branded nappies arent always the best.

Think Sherlock has covered most things but i have to say deffo on the Muslins they a god send lol, Blankets and Maternity Pads and Knickers/ BoyShorts (whatevers more comfy for you) for the bleeding x

I know this is not a necessity but is nice...do you have teddy to put in the fishtank at the hospital when little one is born? I had a little blue bear from mothercare that I bought ready for when Zachary was born, he looked so cute all newborn next to his teddy, he still has it now
