Lighthearted or serious. Anything at all. Ladies who've done it before.

Mine is I'd wish I'd been prepared for how much I could bleed afterwards. Lochia lasted 5 weeks! One week off and then a post baby period. :wall2:

That you will not care if you poo or what you look like during labour! And be prepared for your first BM post labour...

Edit to say - wish someone had told me in my first pg the importance of pelvic floor and core exercises. I had pelvic prolapse and while I don’t think it’s guaranteed these would’ve stopped it I deffo think it would’ve helped. DO YOUR KEGELS!

I wish someone had prepared me for how badly this was going to affect my backside lol and also how well it would heal. i wasn't told and after having suffered with mild hemorrhoids all throughout 3d trimester, I then ended up with terrifying one after having pushed my 9 lb baby girl out. It felt and looked like all my insides came out of my bum( ok slight exaggeration here maybe ) and it was shocking. It really really hurt and really upset me and really brought me down. Not in a million years I was believing that this could ever have gone back to normal. But it did. It took a while but I forgot all about it now. Female bodies are incredible when it comes to recovery. I just wish I was prepared for it as this caused me awful amount of upset. If this happens again next time - no biggie, I won't panic, you have to religously follow treatment plan and will be back to normal before you know it.

Yes so true !! Also your uterus WILL NOT FALL OUT when do try for a BM, despite that fact it feels like it will. Hold a pad under your vagina and do it. Haha

Oh yeah those fuckers. My god. The feeling of being in stirrups getting stitched knowing you have them :oops:

Yes exactly don't put it off. If it happens to me again I'll be straight into the doc xx

Ditto what hopeful said. The piles had me in tears almost more than labour! Second time around i used piles cream in the couple of weeks leading up to the birth in preparation and didnt suffer so badly!

theres so much to be prepared for

if its not your Vagina, it's your breasts, if it's not your breasts, its your back and now your backside.

:lol::dance::dance:

ahhh what have I let myself in for :shock:

I've heard majority of women do this and at the moment the thought of pooping in labour is so embarrassing but my cousin whose just had her first baby said the same as you, ya don't care what so ever- I suppose the Midwife's are more than used to it and have become poop ninjas in their time xx

I was contemplating a water birth and all i can think about is floating poo. :s

Ha! This made me chuckle :-) They'll have like fishing nets won't they and scoop em away before you even know I should imagine, I don't think every one poops at labour though xx

Do they tell you if they do? I hope I'm not told, although I'm sure OH would never let me live it down if he knew!!

I don't think I did poo in labour but I had a really funny tummy about 4 hours before pushing so prob wasn't anything left in me haha!!
You won't care at the time though I promise! xxx

I wish I had known some babies just don't latch on at all to breastfeed at first. It made me feel a failure as no one told me that could even happen..i assumed the only problems I'd encounter would be pain or her wanting to feed constantly. I was shocked when she didn't latch at all in the hospital. Next time I would take nipple shields to the hospital with me and my manual pump cause hand expressing was useless for me xx
