..Lily? I found out I'm having another girl and I LOVE the name Lily, but a few family members and friends have told me its old/horrible and its putting me off it . I'm looking for suggestions for a middle name that would go with Lily my 2nd name is matthews so it would be Lily ? Matthews. Thanks for reading xxxxx

It is a lovely pretty name, and not old fashioned at all, its having quite a revival at the moment so can be popular. I would not worry about your family at all, it's your choice and a lovely name for your daughter to grow up with! If they had not known what you were having, and you had annoiced baby Lily on the day of her birth, I don't think anyone would dare say they didn't like it then, so I don't see why it should be different now.

Oh I love the name Lily, that's on our shortlist, we're liking Lily Mae or Lily Grace, I don't mind if its a common name either, its really pretty. Plus it's your choice, not your families, go with it if you like it! x
