So hubby is in the army and has just been accepted for a course in the new year and if he passes it (which I am fairly certain he will) we will have to move. We won't know about whether or not we are moving until we know if he has passed on 13th Feb when I will be 2 days shy of 37 weeks pregnant.
When we know all this we have to arrange schools for our 3 monkeys (who will be aged 9,6 and 4 at that time in years 4, 1 and reception) and all the other moving house malarky which I have had to do before with only a couple of weeks notice so know it can be done.

We may have no choice in when we move but if it was you and you had a choice would you wait and move after baby is born with the added pressure of moving with a baby or would you get it over and done with before baby turns up and have the new house set up ready for the new baby?

I think it would be easier to move before and my husband understands where I am coming from but the welfare officer disagrees and thinks we should wait till after baby is born. We would still be under the same hospital as we would be going about 40 minutes and the hospital is equidistance from here and new area so that isn't a factor. The only other factor is what if baby is early or I am induced early cos of the high BP?

I think if it was me I would move before the baby comes. Then, at least, you won't be expected to do any of the work and hopefully everything will be done by the time baby arrives.

I don't think I would like to have to look after a new born baby and move house at the same time. I think that would be more stressful.

Thats just my opinion though.

I'd prefer to be moved before baby arrives to be honest, less stress for you!

Moving b4 would be the ideal scenario, but I did move house when my youngest was only 6 weeks. Both do-able but ideally moving first would be my vote.
