Would really appreciate your advice as me and DH are struggling to agree on a name for our little girl.

There's one below ( I won't tell you which, that I've loved for a long time and really really want but DH isn't convinced :( ). The other name carries a lot of meaning because it was DHs nans name and it was also my moms nans name so would carry a lot of significance for both sides of the family. I won't tell you which one's which.

I just really want a name that our LO will like growing up so would appreciate your advice and what name you'd prefer as a child through to an adult if you were in her shoes. I LOVE the old names but I'm just conscious that I don't want little one to feel like its too old fashioned.

Annie May
Tilly May

xx

I like them both, at a push I'd choose Annie as we know a Tilly!

xxxxx

Id choose Annie too bt that's only cos my old cat was called Tilly. I like them both. Good choices.

I love Annie, was oh's grans name and would have been an.option if we were having a girl xxx

Thanks girls... Tilly is my favourite. I do like Annie I'm just worried it might be too old fashioned. I like how it sounds with 'may' though.

My middle name is Ann and although I've never disliked it as such I found it slightly old fashioned and was glad it wasn't my first name. Annie is softer than Ann but DH & I worry she might get nicknamed Ann, which we're not so keen on.

Just wish he loved Tilly as much as I do! xx

Annie sounds lovely and not old fashioned at all in the Annie form, makes me think of that film Annie, that I gre up with and loved..

Tilly I also really like just as much, prob slightly more common nowadays as more popular, so id narrowly have to choose Annie as my fav...

Thanks JJ! And huge congratulations hun...didn't realise you'd got your BFP, that's lovely news :) xx

I would choose Tilly myself, it's really pretty and girly. I'm not a fan of Annie. x

I love Tilly and have it on my list. I like Anna but not a fan of Annie xx

Thanks girls :) I'm hoping I can talk DH around to letting me have Tilly! I know it's slowly becoming more popular but I love it. All the other names I love have already been taken by other family members as we're the last to have a LO and I want to choose something different xx

 Annie  ...but I'm biased! Annie was the name of both my grandmothers so was a natural choice for us. I've always loved the name and there aren't too many around.
Tilly is a beautiful name too although I'd probably use Matilda as her full name and Tilly for short.
Good luck with your choice! Xx

I like Tilly! Very cute xxx (might even steal that as one of choices! ) x

Aw, thanks hun.

Annie sounds lovely with Florence, your family will be really proud being named after her grandmothers :)

xx

I always thought Tilly was a shortened version of something? Prob me living in my own world again lol x I like both names hun just go with whatever feels right in your heart xxx

Yes, they were pretty chuffed! We used Florence as that was hubby's gran's name. Expecting a boy this time and don't have many family names to choose from :(
If it had have been a girl I would have liked Edith Catherine or Edith Rosemary...more family names!! :D
