I remember concentrating on breathing after my waters broke, and then I kind of retreated into myself when I had the gas and air. Then I asked for pethidine and I remember thinking 'not long until I have the drugs', but then they said there was no time and I remember being in total dispair that I only had gas and air
i was so high on gas and air and some other pain relief cant remember the name went into my leg that i can hardly remember! But when the epidural came and i came round a bit it was excitement knowng LO wasnt far away.
Haha i was quite funny in labour i was spaced out to hell lol...
I kept saying TAKE ME HOME NOW..
In the early stages i was quite panicky but i did have a time of chilled out ness haha about half way through...when i was in the pool and was concentrating on my breathing and calm movements through the water...i would say it does help
Notice the woman who have replied and used breathing and counting have far more relaxed memories than those who tensed and swore (i can relate to both)
Something to be considered
After being drip induced my contractions weren't very managaeable, I was uncomfortable standing, sitting and laying down too, but that was as Isaac was b2b, but I had managed to 7cms perfectly calm and quiet up until drug intervention, then I was very sad, I cried a little, and just hugged OH a lot
