What do you do with your LO while you do housework?

As the title suggests really At the moment I put Lizzie in her door bouncer while I'm doing stuff in the kitchen and then she just plays on the floor while I do other rooms. Think she gets a bit bored but she's too heavy to go in the sling now!

I mostly do the housework when zac naps, he has 1.5 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. If he is awake and I need to do something I will put him in his travel cot with a load of toys or try and do it after his food so he is sitting in his high chair, and I'll put some toys on the tray x

I tend to leave him in the high chair for a bit after lunch, I give him a breadstick or something and get on with the washing up and sweeping etc.. then he comes down and i have a bit of play, then he sometimes naps at about 2 so i do more then. if i need to do more he either plays in the living room with the baby gate shut in the doorway or he goes in the travel cot in the kitchen with some toys.

i tend to do it when h naps but i have a playpen but he doesnt particularly like being left in it - if i'm in his room i sit him in his cot with aload of toys and talk to him while im doing stuff. A bumbo is good if you have stuff to do in other rooms as it's light enough to carry. My friend swears by her jumperoo thing and hangs other toys off it so she can switch them so he's not bored!

Cheers everyone! Was thinking about getting a travel cot for when we visit grandparents so will definitely get one now to use as a playpen

I try and do it when he naps but he's not sleeping for very long for them now so have to do it when he's awake. Upstairs i move him from room to room or get Dh to have him and downstairs he's either playing with his toys on the floor or in his jumperoo. He likes watching me clean though, he has a thing about the hoover and the mop

If I am doing upstairs he is in the jumperoo or his bumbo playing with his activity gym. or highchair when i am downstairs

If it's the weekend then OH takes care of Oscar while I clean, or during the week he goes either in his walker or activity station for a bit. If he's in the mood for either he can entertain himself for up to 45 mins! They are a godsend! xxx

Oh yeah that what I do after 7-8pm when Devon goes to bed......He has a phobia or something with daytime sleep!

My Hubby is rubbish, I ask him to have Devon for an hour so I can clean and I can hear the moans from Devon, as OH's version of playing together is laying next to him on the play mat until my OH falls asleep!!! (really interactive...) So I don't bother!

I use the baby carry to put out the washing and make the lunches etc, but like you say he is getting heavy!

LOL that's my OHs version of playing mostly. Either laying LO on him trying to get him to sleep when Oz blatantly isn't tired or taking him into the music room and sitting him on his lap, again something for Dad.

lol my oh idea of playing is letting lil man play with the keybord on the comp while he plays cod on the ps3! i do housework when i can i do the kitchen when he has his breakfast the bedrooms while he watches baby jake then put him in his room to mess it back up while i hoover the front room lol
