What dates do you go by?

Im so confused now.
Iv always gone by my 12 week scan date wich makes me due 30th Jan and 32 weeks today.
But iv just calculated that from my last period (19th april) Im actually due 24th Jan and will be 32+6.

Do you go by your last period or by the scan?
Im half tempted to go by my period now as it puts me 6 days ahead haha

I went by my LMP but know they can change your dates when you go for your first scan?

I go by my scan, as was changed quite alot, and going by your period is just a guideline really

Best to go from your scan cos you may have ovulated early or later than usual.

my scan said i was due on 23rd nov, Last period said 21st nov.... and Layla was born on the 1st december... she was defanatly overdue tho, and has lots of peely skin on her feets and i hardly had any amneotic fluid left when they popped my waters :-/

I would say depends what your midwife goes by? I would think she has updated your notes from your LMP date to the scan date if she was changing them. My scan was 5 days out and they don't change it as less than a week, so they are going by my Lmp dates still. Only would matter if unduced, went really over, or planned section I guess, otherwise baby will arrive when they fancy
